22/09/2026: Delicious meal! We had the charcuterie board as a starter to share between two, so generous it would have been enough for three! The veal tenderloin was a real treat!

12/10/2026: Very disappointing experience. The menu was entirely in French, with no English translation, making it difficult to understand the dishes. The waitress spoke very little English and was rude and unhelpful when we tried to ask questions. Instead of helping us, her attitude made us feel unwelcome. Good customer service is essential, and unfortunately, this restaurant completely failed in that regard. I would not recommend it.

27/09/2026: An intimate and welcoming spot with a beautiful, authentic Savoyard atmosphere—like a mountain chalet, all in wood. The manager is friendly and cheerful, and the food is excellent. It was truly just what I was looking for to experience the aesthetic and cuisine of Haute-Savoie.

06/07/2026: Enjoyed a friendly & comfortable stay in summer for 4 nights here, our room was upgraded to slightly larger size, very clean & well appointed. Great shower, large bed, balcony facing the side, looking to the mountain. Had a tasty dinner in the restaurant one evening, food was excellent & service delightful. Did not try the hotel breakfast as used the local bakery for this & our picnic food. A cooling fan may have helped in the room for the summer temperatures, we opened the patio doors for air. We liked the pool & sauna etc, especially as it was never busy! Robes & shoes an excellent idea to provide for guests. Overall a lovely alpine style hotel with modern facilities. I would recommend staying here. We love Châtel & have skied here often with our family, so may return to Macchi Hotel sometime.

26/03/2026: We discovered this place during a family getaway. A truly blissful escape. The setting is charming, the family history remarkable, and the service impeccable. A huge thank you for the warm welcome. We will definitely return when the weather is nicer. The Annecy team.

31/07/2026: We'd been wanting to try Marie-Jo's cooking for ages, and it took the Hostel being closed due to rockfalls for us to finally discover it at the Wood Café. The welcome was very friendly, the menu small but appetizing, and we tried the chicken burger and the halloumi, which we absolutely loved. They were bursting with aromas and flavors, a generous portion with fries and salad, and just enough room for a delicious cheesecake. We'll be back!!

17/09/2026: I had a fantastic time at Chez Crepy restaurant! The interior is beautifully decorated, and we enjoyed the sunny terrace! The food is delicious, including wonderful Savoyard dishes, and the atmosphere is friendly, warm, and lively! It's definitely my favorite spot in the Portes du Soleil region!

21/08/2026: It's a shame, Madam, that at the end of the meal you took it upon yourself to speak directly to my husband, telling him he looked like a pregnant woman. You know nothing about us. We remind you that you make a living from tourism and, after all, you are required to serve people of all kinds. With this single comment, made in full view of several other people in your establishment, you ruined our meal. Please know, Madam, that my husband lost both his parents within six months, and his weight in no way defines him or makes any assumptions about whether we are avid hikers, which we both are, despite our weight not hindering our physical activity. It goes without saying that we will not be returning to your establishment because of this fatphobia you display, which we can only deplore.

18/08/2026: A week later, we're still thinking about La Dame au Chapeau! We were blown away! Madame, Isabelle: you inspired us so much! Continuous service, getting up at 5 or 6 a.m. every morning to set up, working both in the kitchen and the dining room, all by yourself… it's quite simple: not only did you amaze us, but you made us want to learn from you! We work in completely different professional fields, and yet the passion you put into your work inspires us to do the same in our own! We have incredible memories of our meeting with you! Even beyond the meal, which was excellent. To everyone: we highly recommend this restaurant! We walked past it on our way out of the gondola lift the day before and decided we wanted to have dinner there. I called to make a reservation but I got the wrong restaurant when I looked it up on Google. No matter, after dinner at the restaurant just downstairs, we went back to Isabelle's/La Belle Rencontre to make a reservation at the right place this time, for the following evening! The 12-spice fondue is incredible, excellent, and it's a close call between this fondue and the lemon-basil tart! We can't wait to come back!

15/09/2026: We came during the off-season (mid-September). So there was no wait at the bar and the pizza service was incredibly fast. The cocktail wasn't to my taste, poorly balanced (I only tasted the rum in my piña colada; I'm still looking for the coconut flavor). The pizzas are very good, with a light and airy yet crispy crust; and very generously topped. We'll be back!

30/08/2026: We enjoyed a tasting of local specialties to end our vacation: raclette and Savoyard fondue – a real treat! The products were high quality and plentiful. The service was quick and very friendly. Thank you to the team!

28/08/2026: We ate as a party of four (two adults and two children). We had a very good meal. The atmosphere is very pleasant. The staff is truly delightful, full of humor, and incredibly kind. We were graciously offered a complimentary bottle of génépi liqueur.

19/08/2026: Perfect spot! Nothing beats a cold beer in the middle of a bike ride, right before hopping on the shuttle to the park. 🍺🚵‍♂️ Perfect place, incredible postcard-like views. What more could you ask for? 🏔️
