10/03/2026: If you're looking for a cozy getaway in the heart of winter, the Hotel Macchi is a dream come true. The rooms retain the charming mountain style we love, and they're spotless to boot. A huge thank you to the kitchen staff for spoiling us so much, to the ski equipment manager for his invaluable advice, and to the rest of the staff—it was so pleasant to return to them after a day on the slopes, where kindness and attentiveness always awaited us. 21/08/2026: It's a shame, Madam, that at the end of the meal you took it upon yourself to speak directly to my husband, telling him he looked like a pregnant woman. You know nothing about us. We remind you that you make a living from tourism and, after all, you are required to serve people of all kinds. With this single comment, made in full view of several other people in your establishment, you ruined our meal. Please know, Madam, that my husband lost both his parents within six months, and his weight in no way defines him or makes any assumptions about whether we are avid hikers, which we both are, despite our weight not hindering our physical activity. It goes without saying that we will not be returning to your establishment because of this fatphobia you display, which we can only deplore.

18/08/2026: A week later, we're still thinking about La Dame au Chapeau! We were blown away! Madame, Isabelle: you inspired us so much! Continuous service, getting up at 5 or 6 a.m. every morning to set up, working both in the kitchen and the dining room, all by yourself… it's quite simple: not only did you amaze us, but you made us want to learn from you! We work in completely different professional fields, and yet the passion you put into your work inspires us to do the same in our own! We have incredible memories of our meeting with you! Even beyond the meal, which was excellent. To everyone: we highly recommend this restaurant! We walked past it on our way out of the gondola lift the day before and decided we wanted to have dinner there. I called to make a reservation but I got the wrong restaurant when I looked it up on Google. No matter, after dinner at the restaurant just downstairs, we went back to Isabelle's/La Belle Rencontre to make a reservation at the right place this time, for the following evening! The 12-spice fondue is incredible, excellent, and it's a close call between this fondue and the lemon-basil tart! We can't wait to come back!

10/08/2026: Friendly (and beautiful 😍) service, my daughter thought. But the dad and the youngest son were also enthusiastic and made us feel wonderfully at ease. Lots of choice.

24/05/2026: A wonderful time at La Tanne aux Marmottes! ❤️ A magnificent setting in the alpine pastures, a warm atmosphere, and above all, a radiant, dynamic, and very welcoming owner. We had a fantastic meal: excellent crepes, a delicious fondue, and a complimentary digestif that was much appreciated 👍 A huge thank you also for being open, as it was the only alpine chalet open in the area during this sunny Pentecost weekend… quite incredible for a resort like Châtel. A truly wonderful place that we will gladly return to! 😊 And they even have Pontarlier wine! 😂

24/05/2026: We had a fantastic time at this crêperie. It's the only restaurant open out of season. Everything was perfect! The owner is radiant and full of energy. The crêpes and fondue are incredible, and the setting is ideal. We'll definitely be back soon to enjoy some Pontarlier anise liqueur here! 😁😁

31/07/2026: We'd been wanting to try Marie-Jo's cooking for ages, and it took the Hostel being closed due to rockfalls for us to finally discover it at the Wood Café. The welcome was very friendly, the menu small but appetizing, and we tried the chicken burger and the halloumi, which we absolutely loved. They were bursting with aromas and flavors, a generous portion with fries and salad, and just enough room for a delicious cheesecake. We'll be back!!

19/04/2026: We had a lovely time at this restaurant. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the staff is genuinely kind, welcoming, and friendly, which makes all the difference. The food was generally good, but it's a shame it wasn't piping hot enough when served; it detracted somewhat from the enjoyment. We were seated in a small room behind the bar. The place is nice, but it could use a bit more light to be even more pleasant. Despite these minor points for improvement, it's still a good place with a very friendly team.

21/03/2026: No greeting, they speak to us rudely, no politeness whatsoever. They refuse us a table under the pretext that we have to "buy something" even though we were just going to have coffee before eating our meal here.

19/03/2026: Fish and chips for €13 with a really nice tartar sauce. It's quick, it's good, and the service is friendly, which isn't always the case in these parts. Reasonable prices. A great, unpretentious place.
