For over 15 years, we've always ended our stay in Burgundy at Le Cellier Volnaysien before heading back to Switzerland.

A very nice, clean restaurant with attentive service.
We had the chicken supreme and the chocolate fondant; it was magnificent and very tasty. Good value for money.

The food was delicious and high-quality, as was the very pleasant service. The interior is beautiful, and the terrace is fantastic in the sunshine. A great place to stop for a gourmet break. The only slight disappointment was the value for money of the wines by the glass, but that's a minor point because everything else was perfect.

The dishes were good and well-prepared, especially the trout with blue cheese sauce. However, whether it was the eggs meurette or the fish, the dishes weren't hot enough, which detracted from the enjoyment. The marc iced dessert wasn't up to the standard of the rest of the meal. The wine list was excellent, although the wine service was extremely slow. We were asked for red wine to accompany the cheese course and the end of the meal, but the waiter never came to take our order, which always puts a bit of a damper on the experience.

This magnificent restaurant is wonderful. The sommelier loves to chat and share, the service is impeccable and attentive, and the meal...we were in heaven! The rooster...words can't describe it! We recommend it without hesitation!
