Le Cellier Volnaysien sur Volnay

My husband and I were passing through to explore the region. We were recommended a restaurant by the person we were staying with. The setting of Le Cellier Volnaysien is very pleasant, with a calm and relaxing outdoor area. The restaurant is located in a vaulted stone cellar, tastefully decorated. The waitresses were helpful, friendly, and always smiling. The atmosphere was relaxed, convivial, calm, and professional. And the meal? Delicious! We chose the beef fondue with baked potatoes. The ingredients were high quality, and the desserts were homemade (and we even left with the potato recipe!). The wine pairing was excellent, perfectly suited to our dish and our tastes. In short, I highly recommend it and wish the whole team continued success!

Discovered this charming place, enjoying a very pleasant evening on the terrace. The eggs meurette were highly recommended as exceptional; it's a shame they were missing the bacon. I'll be back.

Traditional and delicious dishes, perhaps lacking in generosity, especially the steak tartare.

The ambiance is excellent. The service was good, and so was the food. But I wouldn't eat there more than once. The menu is very limited, and the food doesn't look freshly prepared.

I loved Le Cellier Volnaysien: a very welcoming atmosphere. I recommend the fondue bourguignonne (generous portions).

Divine cuisine: the poached egg in red wine sauce and the chicken in red wine sauce were delicious. The interior is magnificent, with its wine barrels and small lamps, and the vaulted cellar. The staff were very friendly. No need to go on and on: everything was simply perfect, we highly recommend it.
