A fast-food factory...for tourists in a hurry. You sit down, order, eat, and leave...no aperitif or wine offered...no smiles, you quickly feel like you're in the way...unfriendly staff, but the food was good...clean restrooms

An unplanned stop, the Basque chicken special of the day caught our eye! The welcome was simple and neutral, but once we smiled, the conversation flowed! The dish was a generous portion and very tasty, simple and satisfying. The dessert, of course, lived up to the hype, and the waitress wasn't exaggerating about how delicious it was! The restrooms were clean, in my opinion. Simplicity is key.

Excellent coffee, both lungo and decaf. Served with a mini shortbread cookie for a very reasonable price. Very clean restrooms.

We had the formula of the day: eggs with mayonnaise, chicken with mushrooms and rice, and roasted apple for dessert. Also, Caesar salad was delicious. Whenever we come to Begoña, we eat here. I recommend it! And the waitress knows the dishes in Spanish!

13/02/2026: We had lunch there one weekday evening, during the off-season; there was only one other person besides the three of us. The welcome was very friendly, presumably from the manager. We had a good dinner with well-prepared and quite generous portions for a hearty eater. The wait was, of course, very reasonable. My friend from Bayonne will go back; for us, it's back to the Paris region...
