With my wife and three children, for our first visit to Cabourg, the weather was beautiful.
We ate at Le Central, and everything was delicious from start to finish. I highly recommend it, and I suggest you go and try it there too.

Disappointing. I ordered mussels marinière, which weren't included in the set menu, and the waiter told me it wasn't mussel season and recommended mussels in cream sauce. As if by magic, they were an extra charge. If it's not mussel marinière season, it's certainly not mussels in cream sauce season either 🤔🤔🤔. I also ordered the fish of the day for an extra €2.50. The dish wasn't hot. For dessert, I asked for the sugar crepe because the chocolate one was an extra €2.20. In short, everything is designed to make you order the extras.

Still a very good brasserie, the food is quite decent and affordable.
The only major drawback in 2026 is the lack of Wi-Fi for customers, plus the building's poor 4G/5G signal, so it's best avoided for a business meeting.
A shame...
