Le Chai sur Chalon-Sur-Saone

A great find at this wine bar near Place Saint Vincent. The waitress was friendly and smiling, and we chose a bottle of white Saint-Péray-les-Pins, which was sublime. It was accompanied by homemade duck breast, homemade terrine, and Burrata tomatoes—all homemade, a real treat! I recommend this place for discovering excellent wines and food pairings.

The concept is great, and the food is very high quality! A special mention for the steak tartare! The wines are very good and the service impeccable 👌 I recommend it and we'll gladly return!

Passing through Chalon, we were looking for a wine bar near Place Saint-Vincent. We found one, and on our way there, we walked past Le Chai Autrement. It caught our eye: its small terrace and attractive storefront, with its appealing typography, ultimately convinced us to change our plans. We stopped at this charming spot, where we were greeted by a friendly and passionate gentleman (Luc). The products are homemade and well-prepared, with a great selection of food. The two of us devoured a burrata with sun-dried tomatoes and basil, a huge plate of dried duck breast, and a shrimp tempura dish. For the wines, we ordered two glasses. The prices are varied, with something for every taste and budget. Afterwards, we chose a bottle of Alsatian wine, reasonably priced and with exquisite aromas. There are all sorts of wines, including some excellent natural wines. Thank you for this wonderful experience, I highly recommend it!
