Le Chalet de l'Aulp sur Talloires

We had a wonderful time at the Chalet de l'Aulp. The people were truly lovely and the food delicious! I ate the tartiflette, the best I've ever eaten!! The team came out in person to sing us Happy Birthday with our cake, which was absolutely adorable!! I recommend it 200%! Just be careful about the parking lot downstairs; when it's full, the police will fine cars parked further down... Go for it!

The food is delicious, the views and atmosphere are great.

We had reserved a table for two people and a baby. When we arrived, I asked if it was possible to have a table near the grass so our son could play peacefully on the grass rather than on the pebbles, as I didn't want him to choke on the gravel from the terrace. The waitress told us it wasn't possible without explaining why... When we left, there were still empty two-person tables near the grass! I regret the lack of humanity and helpfulness; the waitresses are very young, so there's no compassion when you come as a family with children. Otherwise, the food is good, with quality cheese and charcuterie. However, I recommend going to the Aravis region for much better service and good food, to La Clé des Anes; you'll receive a much better welcome there, and the prices are much more reasonable.

The tartiflette is very good. The farmhouse Reblochon is excellent.

Up there on the mountain! A delicious mountain restaurant, just the way we like it. It's plentiful, and you can ask if you haven't had enough :) We loved the potato fritters and the Reblochon fondant. And to finish, the Tournette cup, a delight! There was a bit of a wait because it was crowded, but the young people did their best. Well done everyone! PS: We climbed on foot this year. Usually, the carriage road is open to customers, but with the disease affecting the herds, access has been exceptionally prohibited to all vehicles since mid-July. Remember to ask for access, and it's essential to make a reservation.

Magnificent place. It's worth the walk because after the tartiflette, the charcuterie, the potato fritters, and the blueberry tart are delicious. And a big thank you for the free kir. And this incredible view. Thank you again for your wonderful time and your kindness.

If you're looking for something homemade, skip dessert! After our long hike, I was salivating at the thought of eating the famous blueberry tart we discovered a few years ago. Huge disappointment for both me and my partner; the tart was nothing like the one we were served a while back. The tartlets were piled high with frozen fruit drenched... in a ladleful of syrup! We couldn't even finish the fruit, it was so sweet...🤮 Half an hour later, our throats were still burning from ingesting too much sugar, like a hyperglycemic drink used for diabetes tests. What a shame... especially for 8 euros a tartlet!!! Next time, even if we're hungry, we'll wait until we're in the valley. I'm still giving it 3 stars because the location is magnificent, and the waitresses are friendly.

Quality unchanged for a long time, this restaurant is worth it but upon arrival you will be delighted by the view, the site, the atmosphere, the generosity and the taste of the dishes! We did well to be there an hour early 😂 Jérôme

A very good chalet restaurant with quality homemade cuisine. The menu was truly perfect, very good, with cheese made directly on site. The service is excellent. In short, it's a perfect place if you're hiking in the area. I hope to return when I'm in the region.
