Le Chalet des Praz sur La Clusaz

We couldn't go to Haute Savoie without eating a tartiflette. We feasted. The cold cuts are also excellent, as are the desserts. The welcome is perfect. If the opportunity presents itself, we will return with pleasure

We ate very well but there was a wait of an hour between the entree and the main course I think because of an entry error on their entry of the menus despite everything was excellent except the tartiflette which lacked a little bacon

Magnificent place with a view of the village of La Clusaz, staff and cuisine at the top both during the day and in the evening for dinner without forgetting the professionalism of the bar and food truck teams. Don't change anything, good luck

We have been coming to La Clusaz for many years and have always enjoyed Chalet Des Praz for apres ski and lunch. However it was only this year that we tried it for dinner (much to do with roads being clear which gave us the courage to drive up the mountain). Why have we not been here before??! What a beautiful restaurant - in my opinion, the best in La Clusaz. Atmosphere and setting was idyllic. Service was friendly, welcoming and attentive. On our first visit, we tried the chicken (perfectly cooked and served with a delicious but simple green salad), the Coquillettes des enfants terribles (a delicious pasta) and the cheese burger. The cheese burger was so good we immediately booked again for the Friday, came back and all ordered them. I’m lactose intolerant but still ordered it! Small sacrifice for such an amazing burger. In fact, I defy you to tell me you’ve eaten a better burger - anywhere!! Served medium, juicy and perfectly seasoned, onion confit and a “ketchup” that’s the secret ingredient. To be honest, I reckon all restaurateurs in La Clusaz are having a secret burger contest. They’ve massively upped their game on the burger front and we spent the entire week sampling as many as we could. Clearly, Chalet Des Praz took the gold medal. Frankly, if I were made of cash, I’d fly there right now just for lunch and burgers! Just like a child waiting for Christmas, the next 11 months before we are back in La Clusaz will inevitably and frustratingly go slowly. Message to Dez Praz - please airmail me some burgers over Summer. Many thanks!!!
