Exceptional location, simple but high-quality and generous cuisine

A quick personal note: Before booking at Chalet des Rousses, I did what everyone else does: a quick Google search, relying mainly on the opinions of friends who know the establishment well. I must admit I was somewhat surprised by some of the comments left by people like Sophie O, Lukas M, and Solange B (they'll know who they are). Judging a restaurant without even having eaten there, getting upset about not getting a table without a reservation, or being refused a simple drink in a place that is, let's remember, a restaurant and not a betting shop… it's perplexing. This is just my personal opinion, of course. But as Audiard said, "Fools dare anything; that's how you recognize them." For our part, after booking the day before without the slightest difficulty, as is usually the case for those who plan ahead, we had a very pleasant time. The setting is enchanting, the food is excellent, the service attentive, and the wine list particularly well-curated. In short: a wonderful experience. I highly recommend it, and I will gladly return.

Excellent evening. The welcome was fantastic, the staff and owner were incredibly attentive. I hadn't eaten at the chalet since the change of ownership, and everything is just as wonderful. The chalet will definitely be our go-to spot for the holidays. I highly recommend this welcoming place.
