A huge disappointment at this restaurant.
On a Sunday at lunchtime.
We had to keep our coats on unless we mentioned it. No background music and quite noisy, far from a cozy atmosphere. No wine list offered, only wines by the glass. The service was very/too fast; we were asked, "How many minutes will it take for the next course?"... No dessert menu, just an audio listing of a rather limited selection.
It seems that, being full of regulars, this restaurant pays little attention to new customers. The food was very good, but the service needs improvement.

Excellent restaurant in Calais! We had a wonderful time. The meal was truly delicious, with flavorful and beautifully presented dishes. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout the service. A truly great experience; I highly recommend it and we will gladly return!

A restaurant discovered by chance during a weekend in Calais.
From the moment you enter, you are warmly welcomed by both the kindness of Mrs. Crespo and the view of the wine cellar.
Lunch was delicious.
The service was excellent.
And the dessert trolley, presented and served by the owner himself, is an experience not to be missed.
If we ever return to Calais, we will definitely come back.

As luck would have it, we found ourselves at Le Channel for the first time today.

Love this place. Great food and a warm welcome. Good choice of local fish. Oysters very good. Waiting staff very professional and smartly dressed. You’ll be back! Twelve minutes from the ferry port by car.

We went to Chanel this evening for the first time, and it was the most wonderful culinary discovery of our lives. The service was exceptional, with pleasant and attentive waiters, and the dishes were of remarkable quality, from the amuse-bouche to the dessert... All this in a marvelous setting, tastefully decorated.
And for a more than reasonable price!
We thank the waiters and chefs again for this unforgettable evening!
