Le Channel sur Calais

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal from start to finish! The dishes were excellent, well-prepared, and generous. The staff was very welcoming, friendly, and attentive. A particularly nice touch: our dog was also very well received, with little gestures that made all the difference. A truly wonderful place that we highly recommend!

The menu was original in its compositions and tasty. Reasonably priced.

We were lucky enough to be given a lovely table without a reservation. We had a view of the cellar in the basement. Very impressive. The food and service were excellent. We will definitely be back.

A high-quality restaurant. The food is excellent. The cuisine is refined. The staff is very professional and distinguished. The place is unique, featuring, among other things, a wine cellar where you can admire the fine wines.

I had one of the greatest meals I’ve ever had in this restaurant. Part of that was to do with the company however I was astonished when I ordered a glass of wine and discovered that it came from a bottle that has been produced in 1988 and was nearly 40 years old. Superb thank you or rather merci beaucoup :)

We had lovely food and mainly good service here . Beautiful asparagus with excellent hollandaise. My sole Meunière was excellent . BUT I was very upset that my allergy was not taken seriously. I was nearly given a soup containing alcohol . I very clearly stated this would make me ill . The waiter was very sloppy about this and did not take it seriously . This situation should never happen and should be addressed immediately . What a shame for this to happen in a very good restaurant .

Delicious good and a must try in Calais. Dessert is such a surprise.

A wonderful restaurant with a beautiful atmosphere and interior. The service was excellent: the staff were attentive, polite, and professional. We also really liked the presentation of the dishes — everything looked beautiful, neat, and appetizing. We were very satisfied and would be happy to come back again.

The service that evening was unfortunately a disappointment. The order of events was completely unexpected: we were first served a bottle of Chablis – but without a wine cooler or ice. We then had to wait 30 minutes for the appetizer (12 oysters), and it finally arrived at the same time as the main courses, by which time our wine had already warmed up. Absolutely infuriating! Perhaps there isn't enough staff on Sundays, as one woman had to look after all the guests completely on her own. Furthermore, communication is virtually impossible without speaking French, which is why attentive or friendly service was sorely lacking. In retrospect, one slightly regrets eating there – even going to McDonald's would have been a better and less stressful choice.
