Le Chasseur sur Illkirch-Graffenstaden

A warm and welcoming Alsatian restaurant with a short, 100% homemade menu. The food was delicious, reasonably priced, and the service was quick. A place to remember if you're in the Illkirch area!

Ordering through an app, we were blown away by the quality of the food. We especially loved the sauerkraut and the burger. We'll definitely be back to try the restaurant and its other dishes.

The restaurant is very welcoming, and a large parking lot next to the building makes parking easy, right near the entrance. We booked a tarte flambée evening, something we've been doing with friends once a month for several years, varying the restaurants. We wanted to try this one, but we were a little disappointed. The pastry was cooked fairly well, perhaps even a bit overcooked in one or two cases. However, the toppings left something to be desired, with less bacon than needed and the cooking wasn't always optimal. A point in their favor, though, was the chef who agreed to make us a smaller tarte flambée, which we even split in half with two different toppings. The service was quite friendly, although the waiters seemed to be putting a bit of pressure on us around 9:15 pm, just after we'd finished our meal, to pay the bill promptly. Overall, a rather mixed impression. It's a shame, because this restaurant clearly demonstrates a genuine desire to do well and seems to have invested the necessary resources. However, attention to detail is crucial, as it ultimately determines the final result, for better or for worse.

We had dinner this Monday as part of their all-you-can-eat mussels and fries night. The meal was very good and the staff very pleasant. It's just a shame that during these themed evenings, the price is never displayed on the chalkboard outside. This would avoid any discrepancy between the price quoted verbally and the final bill. We're not questioning the price itself, but it seems reasonable to display it (it's probably even mandatory). However, we will definitely return to this restaurant; the food is excellent.

Absolutely no value for money. A bread basket with one slice the size of a rusk; okay, times are tough, but come on now.

I don't know the rooms but judging by the restaurant they are certainly very nice, we had a good time at dinner on November 11th, our dishes were a treat.

I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance one evening with my neighbors. It was 8:50 pm on a Thursday, when most restaurants in Illkirch are closed. Phew! They welcomed us, and from then on, we discovered a no-frills restaurant that understands that what's on the plate is worth far more than a sumptuous decor. 👍 We were blown away by the lighthearted service and the genuine customer interaction (in the best sense of the word), followed by a quality of food that delighted us. I'd like to take this opportunity to invite everyone who reads the reviews (as I usually do) to read them before scrolling through the list, which is full of 5/5 ratings, to notice the presence of a troll whose 1/1 rating appears strangely frequently. I think it's a shame to spoil the (mostly 5/5) rating given by customers for what are probably personal reasons.

I returned to this restaurant after several years; the owners have changed. I didn't find my favorite dishes... I should have looked at the menu beforehand. It was good, but not like it used to be; the Alsatian specialties were missing.

Excellent experience at Les Chasseurs! Dynamic service provided by a young, motivated team led by Eliot, and a delicious tarte flambée au gratin. Highly recommended!
