Le Chataignier sur Lamastre

We ate at this restaurant by chance after the Monts d'Ardèche trail race. We ordered the pierrade (hot stone grill), and the meat and sauces were very good, as were the fries. For dessert, the ice cream was excellent too! The service was excellent; we received a very warm welcome, with humor and kindness ☺️ Thank you for this wonderful experience; we highly recommend it! PS: Remember to make a reservation!

A warm welcome, traditional cuisine: local beer + Ardèche menu (caillette, crique, salad) for a reasonable price, what more could you ask for...

The menu online doesn't match the menu in the restaurant. It's more expensive than the prices listed. For Saturday dinner: a ribeye steak with fries (not homemade) and salad was €25. Other dishes were €22.50. There was a cooking smell (grilled) in the dining room. Drink prices were okay. Service was okay.

We reserved two tables on the terrace for our group, LES RIDERS DU 69-01, and were pleasantly surprised to find a small reservation board with our group's name displayed. We received a very warm welcome from the manager. As for the food, absolutely nothing to complain about! All 12 participants were satisfied with both the quality and the quantity. The meats, fries, salads, and crispy toppings were all perfect. I should also mention that the restrooms were spotless, even at the end of service! So, I highly recommend it.

A warm welcome. The menu is limited, but the dishes offered are delicious and generous. Pleasant background music that doesn't drown out conversations. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit. I highly recommend it.

What more can I say than it's a charming little restaurant, with a great, friendly atmosphere and incredibly fast and friendly service. I highly recommend it! 👌
