Le Chateau Blanchard sur Chazelles-Sur-Lyon

Discovered this hotel's restaurant last night for a Valentine's Day meal with my wife. The historic building is very pretty and beautifully decorated, especially the ground floor dedicated to the restaurant. There are several elegant and/or cozy spaces. The owners were very welcoming, as were the staff. The meal was enjoyable and appreciated for both its presentation and, above all, its flavors, and quite generous for a fine dining establishment. The wine list and sommelier were excellent. The chef was also very approachable, as were their wives—a true family business. Highly recommended for the restaurant; we'll see about the hotel sometime.

We went there for lunch today (a table of three) for a company meal. We opted for the €140 per person set menu, which was simply divine. The variety of dishes and the presentation were just perfect. There were plenty of small amuse-bouches, each more beautiful and delicious than the last. The main courses were as visually stunning as they were delicious. This restaurant truly deserves its first Michelin star. The staff, from the managers to the apprentices, were incredibly kind and professional. A huge thank you and congratulations to them all.

December 11, 2025. A wonderful gastronomic experience at Château Blanchard. Exquisite cuisine. Delicious meal. Special mention for the staff, who were very kind and attentive. Without hesitation, I highly recommend this restaurant, which truly deserves its second star. Thank you to our son Julien for introducing us to this place with his gift certificate.

It's hard not to give this exceptional meal five stars. And as the waiter said, watching the rain fall outside the windows, it's perfect weather for going to a restaurant. Well, I hope for more downpours so I can continue to enjoy this delicious meal for a long time.

The four of us had a wonderful time at Château Blanchard. The welcome and service were impeccable, and each of our dishes was delicious. The wine selections were also highly appreciated. A place where everything is combined for a gourmet and refined stay!
