Been coming to Le Chaudron over the past few summers, as it nevers disappoints, always deliciously satisfying. Cozy atmosphere, smaller menu with French bistro classics mixed with Italian and Provencal "slow food" entrees like risottos, stews, and braises. A few great wines and stellar deserts, especially a standout creme brulee, best I've had anywhere in a long time. Service very friendly and helpful, albeit slower at busier times. Maybe not ideal if you're in rush, but for a date night, an evening with a great company, or a relaxing solo meal, it's an absolute gem

We happened upon Le Chaudron completely by accident. I didn't want to eat at any of the main square or busy main street restaurants, they all seemed super touristy. I caught sight of the sign outside and we checked it out and decided to stay for dinner. Everyone's order was fabulous. The restaurant is small DMX the madam was the only wait staff but we didn't mind the slower pace of the meal as the ambiance is great, and the wine was flowing. The chef came out to serve our desserts and see how we enjoyed our meal. Everything was top notch. Highly recommend. The art on the walls however was odd and didn't suit the restaurant.

I really enjoyed the butcher's cut (beef tagliata) with its fries and excellent pepper sauce.
I also loved the French toast brioche with Nutella and whipped cream. Generous portions! The price is a bit higher than average in the city center, but honestly, after the first bite, you understand it's worth it.
The manager is very friendly.
The dining room is lovely, with a cozy and calm atmosphere.

A place you absolutely must eat. The cassoulet is incredible; we had a set menu and thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish.
The atmosphere is calm and pleasant. In short, I recommend it to anyone visiting the city.
Reservations are recommended.
