I was delighted with my lunch at Le Chemin des Peintres. The place is peaceful and ideally located in Auvers-sur-Oise. The service is impeccable. They take excellent care of you without being intrusive. The dishes are beautifully prepared and presented. The ingredients are fresh and of high quality. I have a lasting memory of the zucchini carpaccio with ricotta and the fish. Thank you to Enzo and his mother for this delicious meal. I will be back.

Delicious dishes and a menu that changes very regularly, a friendly team—you even see the kitchen staff serving, which is also nice. My first gourmet coffee with a slice of cheese was a lovely idea 🙂 The dining room is bright and airy, decorated with paintings as is typical in Auvers-sur-Oise. I highly recommend it, but it's best to book ahead 😅

26/06/2026: Flew in from Egypt dehydrated and there was no store open to buy water so I went here and the staff took care of me. The beef tartar, creme brulee and escargot were the first food I've ever had in France and it was honestly one of the best meals I've ever eaten. I was surprised it was excellent because I was expecting the restaurants in the area to have tourism food standards. Honestly one of the best meals I've had as far as quality and preparation. The staff are very gracious too
11/06/2026: Chanced upon this bistro in Auvers-s-Oise main street, and had one of the best meal that week! I had the yummiest and beautiful salad - quite a rare find in France! My son had the tasty beef tartare, though it came deconstructed so you've to mix it yourself. And my hubby enjoyed his burger very much. The service level is also reasonably good.
