I can't say enough good things about this hotel. Our car broke down on the highway, and roadside assistance towed us to Saint-Menehould. The hotel was able to accommodate us for two nights with no reservation, with pets. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, assisting us with translating with the mechanic. Our room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. Their breakfast was excellent. If you are in the area, definitely stay here. The restaurant is amazing. We had an incredible meal here. The waitstaff was friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. I would absolutely visit again.

Loyal customers for over 25 years (we even celebrated our wedding there), we have always been very satisfied with Le Cheval Rouge, both with the quality of the food and the service. However, on our last visit, we were surprised by the attitude of the head waitress, who seemed rather curt and stressed, particularly in the way she spoke to her team. This slightly marred what we usually enjoy. We offer this feedback with goodwill, hoping to once again experience the warm welcome we have always known.

We had lunch at the restaurant. A very beautiful establishment, tastefully decorated. The welcome was warm, the staff very professional and efficient, and the service was perfect. The cuisine is refined and very flavorful, the seasonings are perfect, the chef works with quality seasonal products, and the dishes are beautifully presented. It's worth noting the excellent wine list with a wide selection from all the wine regions of France (Champagnes are particularly well represented). I highly recommend it.

22/03/2026: The Amateur Photographers' Union, following its General Assembly, gathered at the footbridge for a meal among board members. A warm welcome, impeccable service, and special attention to children. Don't hesitate to book with them.

31/01/2026: I discovered this restaurant yesterday and I can't recommend it highly enough: an excellent menu at a very reasonable price... it's friendly, you feel right at home... and there's so much potential, for example, for dance evenings (which you may already be hosting; sorry, it was my first time there under less than ideal circumstances)... I live several kilometers away, but I plan to return in different circumstances, and in the spring/summer, because there's just that "je ne sais quoi" that makes you feel so comfortable... Keep up the good work and, above all, stay true to yourselves. You're almost "unique," both in your cooking and in your warm, family atmosphere. Thank you... It just goes to show that even in these sometimes very difficult times, we can find the best!
