Le Chill sur Calais

Excellent meal! My choice was simple (butcher's cut). I asked for it rare, and it was indeed rare—kudos to the chef! That's not always the case in other restaurants. Nice decor, very friendly and welcoming staff. In short, don't hesitate to click the "to drink" button; it's well deserved. I highly recommend it; the whole menu is good.

So much fish on one platter, for €16, and top quality! The mountain of smoked salmon would have been enough for three people!

A fantastic find! A wonderful discovery. We came as a group of 13 without a reservation and were warmly welcomed. Everything was delicious, from the brunch to the main courses. Lovely atmosphere.

We went there for brunch, just the two of us. We had a wonderful time and were completely stuffed when we left... I highly recommend it.

Having arrived yesterday on the recommendation of the tourist office, we decided to try the brunch option. We're so glad we did! It was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and incredibly generous. It's the first time in years I've needed help finishing my portion in a restaurant (that's how generous the portions are for brunch!). One thing's for sure, next time we're in Calais, we'll definitely stop by!

There was a problem at checkout; the cashier was busy chatting on Snapchat. The €10 minimum for card payments is far too high. This system needs to be reviewed. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the drinks and charcuterie board were decent. However, some staff members struggled to say hello and had difficulty putting down their phones in front of customers.

Both the beer and the food were generous portions, and I was very satisfied.

A place to jot down in bold in your notebooks. A very warm welcome, top-notch cuisine, and attentive, careful service. I had a beef rib marinated with a homemade barbecue sauce—absolutely amazing! Close your eyes and you'd think you were in Texas. It was melt-in-your-mouth tender and incredibly flavorful. For dessert, I tried the rum baba, which I always order at any restaurant when it's on the menu. And this was THE surprise: a perfectly shaped, large terrine-style pot containing a very plump baba (almost the entire pot!), swimming in a generous amount of perfectly balanced rum syrup, and topped with a mountain of homemade whipped cream. I'm quite particular about the quality of food, and here, I have absolutely no complaints. It's top-notch, and the price is more than reasonable. Don't hesitate any longer.
