On a rainy evening in Bordeaux, it was a delight to come across Le Chiopot. Highly recommended. Lovely food. Relaxed atmosphere. Friendly staff.

I didn't know about this emblematic restaurant in the Bordeaux area and it was time to do something about it after 23 years of living in the region. The menu is very beautiful, whether in terms of meat or seafood. That said, the reputation of the restaurant having been built on meat products, you have to have fun with it. I enjoyed tricandilles followed by a 1/2 breast of rossini duck with small vegetables and Bordeaux porcini mushrooms (it's the season we were in October) perfectly prepared. The wine and digestive list is magnificent, every wine enthusiast will find what they are looking for. An essential address not to be missed.

What to start with.....? Let's start with a varied menu, from oysters to premium meats matured in hygro- and temperature-regulated cellars and including sole weighing more than a kilo? Or can we talk about the service which comes very close to certain star-studded places. All in a lovely setting where attention to detail is there. We feel a team driven by values ​​and that's nice to see. We also feel that some have their habits and that's normal. It was definitely worth the 6 hours of driving to end up by chance in Chiopot I highly recommend you go and experience the place.

I discovered this restaurant this evening and I am delighted. Firstly because as a fan of marrow bones I can assure you that it's rare to find them these days, but also because the team at this restaurant is incredible. The waitresses are adorable, funny, attentive and able to remain discreet. The cook is an artist and the boss u a true enthusiast who does not hesitate to give customers time to share the history of his restaurant and the richness of his cellar. In short, I'm delighted with this evening and I can't wait to do it again quickly. Many thanks for this beautiful evening which calls for others. Sarah and Fabrice.

It's nice to be well served and eat well at the same time. More than recommended place to treat yourself if you are passing through Bordeaux Eating well at an affordable price is magic. The place is simply delicious 😋
