Lunch today at noon Slow welcome but the waiter apologized -> very good gesture. I took the menu Starter: local charcuterie -> very good and fresh Dish: Basque chicken. -> well done, I appreciated it. Personally, I expected more for Chicken Basquaise given how I heard about it. I recommend.

Friendly restaurant with fresh, well-prepared products! The only downside is that the servers are not always smiling! And the only one who deserves a tip is no way to reward her alone! Unacceptable: result I will never again leave a tip in a restaurant if the entire team is not friendly…. Long live solidarity

It is culturally important to have restaurants like Le Chistera: Good, made only with local Basque specialties and with impeccable service. I recommend the piperade with Bayonne ham, it's killer and you come away feeling satisfied. Perfect restaurant

12/01/2025: Very pleasant service and staff. Delicious food. I will have to go back for the prime rib, arriving late at the restaurant (10 p.m.) it was a victim of its own success 😊.

21/09/2024: Very nice experience at the beginning of September, very good food and very pleasant staff.
29/08/2024: Day 23/08/24. We made a reservation for 8 people and ate on the terrace. The space was a little tight. If you take into account that France is not Spain, when we talk about good food, I have to say that the menu was correct. The "plat du jour" (dish of the day) had a supplement if they were a little more consistent. Despite these points, we had a good lunch. To us, coming from the Basque Country, it seemed more expensive, but we expected it. Correct everything.
