An unexpected discovery one lunchtime: this little restaurant, unassuming from the outside. A very pleasant welcome from the young waiter who, despite being on his break, came to seat us. Excellent value for money; we will most certainly return on our next visit to Amiens.

I highly recommend it! The atmosphere is very warm, the welcome is pleasant, and the decor is great... The food is absolutely delicious and very affordable! If you have €10 and a craving for a good meal, keep this in mind! And what a chef! 👨‍🍳

A lovely midweek family dinner. The meal was hearty and delicious, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. The bill was just as good: excellent value for money. We had a wonderful evening and will definitely be back. Thank you!

A very warm welcome, very friendly staff. The Welsh rarebit was excellent, full of flavor, made with quality ingredients and well-prepared – a real treat. The ficelle picarde with mushrooms was also very good. We'll be back; we had a wonderful time.

The food was very good, however the service was much less so. We waited over an hour for our order, which contained an error! Furthermore, it was very cold in the dining room. Disappointing!!

We were lucky to get a table for two without a reservation, as otherwise it was fully booked. The wait to be served was very long, the cocktail was served without a straw, and there were no appetizers, while the table behind us received them. The waiter brought our main course, saying, "I'll be right back to get you some bread," but we never saw him return with it. To top it all off, I didn't get the dessert I had ordered. It's a shame because otherwise, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. And the restrooms don't have a lock. Perhaps you should consider improving the quality of your service. Best of luck!

A wonderful family discovery at the Christmas market. The children's menu, offering smaller portions of adult dishes, was a real bonus. Our meals were generous and delicious, all at very reasonable prices. Don't hesitate to stop by. Our only regret is not being ready to go back sooner. Special mention to our server, who was particularly friendly and welcoming.

In Amiens, the quality/price ratio is excellent. 👍 For those who remember it well, it brings back fond memories: the old "Le Valentin" sign. Nostalgia! 😉

Only one server but he works like two! It's a shame though because some times are incompressible... varied menu but some dishes were missing... even though they exist in a smaller version...

21/10/2025: A pleasant Sunday afternoon on the terrace of this lovely bar with a view of the cathedral. The waiter gave us good advice on our choice of cocktail! In the end, we only drank one! Thank you for the very friendly service!
10/10/2025: Passing by chance with a friend, we decided to have a drink, we were served by a tattooed waiter with white hair, I don't know his name but thank you very much for his welcome and warm service, we ended up staying until closing time 😅

27/12/2025: Nice setting. The food was good, but it would have been better if it had been a little hotter. One of the meats wasn't cooked properly: medium, not pink. The salad wasn't very fresh. The wine we ordered never arrived; after asking the waiter, I was told they were out. (My meal was almost finished.) We ordered a starter, but we received the main course instead. ?!

L'Échanson in Amiens is no exception. In fact, it's a model of excellence in terms of its warm welcome and efficient service. The cuisine, worthy of a good city brasserie, features classic and generous dishes, along with some excellent chef's specials. There's no artificially inventive cuisine that leaves you starving, but rather simple, satisfying, and enjoyable dishes. Located opposite the magnificent cathedral, L'Échanson is a great choice in this area, especially for tourists, offering excellent value for money!
