Very good meal with excellent value for money

You're never disappointed when you come to Clos Alexi! Whether it's for our second son's christening, our 10th wedding anniversary, or just because, it's always amazing. The best Irish Coffee in the Colmar region. Always a warm welcome, with a smile. In short, Clos Alexi is absolutely fantastic!

My rating fairly objectively reflects my feelings after my last visit to this restaurant. Initially, I wanted to book for 12:00 PM, but at the suggestion of the person who took my call, I accepted the 12:30 PM reservation (they already had several reservations for 12:00 PM). We arrived on time and were quickly seated. While I can acknowledge this as a positive point, it's practically the only one I can point out. Indeed, we were particularly disappointed with the meals, and on several levels. First, the menu didn't match the one on the restaurant's website at all. We pointed this out to our server, who simply laughed before adding that he knew, but he was just the server. On the chalkboard menu that was then presented to us, the vol-au-vents were already sold out (darn, I should have booked for 12:00 PM!). While we were told that nothing other than what was written on the chalkboard was available, we noticed other people eating at neighboring tables. I wouldn't say the dishes were bad, but they were rather small, especially considering the price. The side dishes with the meat or fish were very meager, whether it was fries or vegetables. For dessert, although a chalkboard near the starter had prominently displayed "Apricot Tart," we were again told that it wasn't available. Clearly, the restaurant is having problems with its menus! As for the atmosphere, we probably had a bad seat, as it was right next to the speakers, which were playing quite loud music. However, there is one thing you can't take away from this restaurant: its very pleasant outdoor setting with a children's play area. With all that said, I remain very conflicted and I would think about it more than once before going back.

Excellent food, however, the dish arrived on an unheated plate. Excellent service, friendly and impeccable. The atmosphere was a bit chilly throughout, and we left early because the heating stopped working at 10 pm (the radiators became cold), and the temperature dropped significantly.

It's a shame there's a heating problem; it's not pleasant to eat and be cold! The owner should be concerned about it.

A very pleasant restaurant with delicious and very generous portions. Impeccable service from our waiter Yvan, who was the only one serving the dining room; he was very energetic and always had a kind word. I highly recommend it.
