Le Clos Alexi sur Wettolsheim

Great garden setting. Arrived for a late lunch with my wife on time for our reservation. Afternoon was pretty but on the chilly side. We asked to be seated in the sun. Although there were more than a dozen available tables, server explained to us that there weren't any available 2 tops in the sun, as they were all 4 tops. We were a little surprised that they might still be expecting that many tables at 1:30pm. We were seated at a 2 top in the shade - I ended going to grab jackets in the car. It was no surprise that none of these available 4 tops were seated after we arrived. Our server quickly took our order. It took a good 20 minutes for our appetizers to be served. Main courses were quicker. Although portions were generous, food was adequate but nothing sublime. At 2:30pm sharp our waitress came to our table to let us know that the restaurant was closing and invited us to go take care of our bill at the bar. Not a memorable experience, that could have been improved by simple gracious service. Would not return.

Hello. It's a beautiful place; we come here regularly. The quality of the meals is perfect. Yesterday there was a slight mix-up in the service compared to our previous visits. I highly recommend Clos Alexi.

It's a shame that during the booking process, we weren't told that we were seated inside and not on the terrace.

Everything was perfect, we hadn't been back for a while, the restaurant's transformation is a great success, we ate very well.

A perfect place 😃 but too long a wait to order food

I usually go to Clos Alexi… Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the bibelakase this time; it had no garlic, no herbs, and not enough raw vegetables. For a dish costing €18.90, I expected more… On the other hand, the setting is lovely, with a real holiday feel!

It was our first time there with friends (a group of 10). The place was quite nice (we were seated outside) and had games for children. The food was good, no complaints about what we ordered. However, the service/ordering was truly disastrous for our table; we just had to stay calm 😀 but we'll be back.

The place is beautiful, the food very good, it's a shame we had such a long wait for our food. The aperitif arrived quickly, but we waited over an hour for our main course; luckily we hadn't ordered a starter! 😂 The organization needs to be improved to make this a truly exceptional place.

Unfortunately, we hadn't been back since the change of ownership, simply due to lack of time. We've now made it, and we absolutely don't regret it! We had a wonderful time at Clos Alexis. The dishes were delicious, generous, and perfectly prepared, in a setting that was as pleasant as ever. A special mention goes to Philippe, our waiter, for his friendliness, professionalism, and good humor. His warm welcome, attentiveness throughout the meal, and excellent service greatly contributed to making this experience even more enjoyable. Congratulations to the entire team for their outstanding work. We will gladly return and recommend this restaurant without hesitation!

I agree with the "yes and no" opinion. If you have children, it's a good place. Otherwise... meh. It's a bit expensive for what it is, in my opinion.
