I was there; it looked kind of underground to me, being in an alley. You could eat outside. The only downside was that the prices and wine list were only for bottles. Next time I'll come with someone and try the wine.

My dish was delicious, and the food at the surrounding tables looked great too. They provide bread and tap water at no extra charge. I would definitely return.

This restaurant remains a staple of Strasbourg gastronomy. Before living in Paris, I used to go there regularly, about twice a month between 1998 and 2000; and well, today nothing has changed! The Alsatian setting, the warm atmosphere, the attentive waiters, and especially the beakaofe and the fleiskichelle are still just as good!! Excellent value for money: a fantastic wintstub that never disappoints a discerning customer. I dined there on Friday, May 22nd and Saturday, May 23rd, alone for once, but I wasn't bored for a second. In short, I highly recommend this Strasbourg institution.

A typical place to discover Alsatian cuisine. The only downside I can mention is the discomfort we felt being the only young people in the restaurant along with the waiters.

The food was good, and the waitress was lovely and very professional. However, when you don't have many customers, try to be discreet when talking amongst yourselves because you could hear everything... a shame.

24/05/2026: Anyone visiting Strasbourg should definitely plan an evening at this restaurant! Lovely atmosphere, good food, attentive service.
17/05/2026: It seems a bit pricey, but the all-you-can-eat fondue/raclette offers excellent value for money. It was incredibly delicious (we had the classic fondue, garlic fondue, and goat cheese fondue), and despite eating a lot, we didn't leave feeling stuffed. The food was perfectly seasoned, and our wine recommendation was also excellent. We'd gladly come again!
