Authentic wine tavern with excellent food and, of course, delicious wines. We had onion soup, rösti with salmon, Bibbeleskäs (a type of cheese spread), and black pudding. Everything was absolutely delicious. We're going again today.

We ate there last night. Very good local cuisine: barkhoff, ham hock, and pot-au-feu. Impeccable service from 6 pm (rare).

Le Clou is a traditional winstub located in the old town of Strasbourg. Enjoy local cuisine in a setting that evokes an Alsatian atmosphere. This time, I ordered a Bec-Off (€25.90) and a Riesling (€5.10). The Bec-Off had very tender meat, with a gentle flavor that was thoroughly infused with the flavor of the white wine. The potatoes were also soft and fluffy, making for a hearty and satisfying dish. The Riesling had a refreshing acidity that paired well with the stew. This restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere, allowing you to casually enjoy Alsatian cuisine and wine.

An ok restaurant. No big pretensions but tasty food - the portions for the main course are large.

Block'Out

29/03/2026: Great for a first climb! Super friendly staff! Plenty of facilities (sauna, gym, etc.) It's a shame about the dampness on the shower walls.
18/03/2026: A huge thank you for the open days in September 2024 where I was able to climb for free with my family, and where 10-entry passes (valid for future use – with no expiration date) were sold for €100. I hope BlocOut will continue this offer in the future – or at least offer it again during other open days. €10 to come climbing at a bouldering gym is the right price! A word about the opening: there aren't many comments on this, but the gym offers relatively few interesting boulder problems for strong children. Problems above B8 are almost all impossible if you're under 1.40m tall, which could be addressed if the route setters consider it. I'm looking forward to climbing some hard boulder problems at BlocOut with my daughters in the future!

Pierre Herme Strasbourg

07/03/2026: I came in specifically to buy four macarons, and I must say that overall they were good, but I was still expecting better, especially coming from Pierre Hermé, so perhaps my expectations were too high. Special mention goes to the nori seaweed macaron, which was my favorite along with the Infiniment Vanille.
14/01/2026: 5/5 – The best macarons I've ever eaten! Galeries Lafayette Strasbourg – Pierre Hermé Paris If someone asks where to find the very best macarons in Strasbourg, there's only one answer for me: Pierre Hermé at Galeries Lafayette (ground floor, right by the main entrance). The macarons are on a completely different level than anything else you'll find – even compared to very good places. The shell is paper-thin and crisp, yet perfectly delicate, and the filling is always incredibly creamy, aromatic, and perfectly balanced. My absolute personal favorite (and unbeatable in my opinion): Milk Chocolate & Passion Fruit. This combination of creamy, but not too sweet, milk chocolate with the fresh, slightly tart passion fruit note is simply brilliant. It tastes rich and refreshing at the same time – a little addictive moment every single time. The other varieties I tried were all excellent as well – but the Chocolat au Lait Passion remains the king for me. They're not cheap, but with this quality and perfection, they're absolutely worth every penny. In short: If you're in Strasbourg and you love macarons, come here. No question. Definitely the best macarons I've ever had!
