We came to Jonzac for an evening out and found this restaurant. What a pleasant surprise to see such passionate people dedicated to satisfying our taste buds! The seasonings and flavor combinations are incredible. The restaurant manager is very friendly. Excellent food. Very good value for money.

As you might guess, the restaurant is next to the Jonzac market. The food is delicious and plentiful. The service is friendly, helpful, and always smiling. The place is very popular. Reservations are highly recommended.

A truly delightful break not to be missed under any circumstances. We were charmed by the warm and friendly atmosphere. And the menu… a delight from start to finish: an explosion of flavors in the mouth and an explosion of colors on the plate! €24 for a starter/main course/dessert. Bravo for offering such quality with local products. It was a wonderful discovery.

Excellent meal from start to finish. A very warm welcome and impeccable service.
The chef even came to see us at our request to talk about his recipe for beef tagine with peppers, lemons, and black olives, served with melt-in-your-mouth potatoes: a real treat!
You can tell there's a lot of thought and creativity in the preparation of the dishes.
At €24 for the set menu, the value for money is exceptional. For what's on offer, it's really inexpensive.
We will definitely be back.

We are loyal customers of Le Comptoir du Marché because of the exceptional culinary experience offered by the chef. We love his fresh fish, always cooked to perfection, and his desserts are delicious as well. The service is quick and friendly. We recommend this restaurant to our own spa clients. Remember to book in advance. Thank you for the consistently excellent service. And to top it all off, the menu is very reasonably priced for such high quality.
