Le Comptoir Gourmand sur Mirepoix

10/01/2026: Every time I visit mirepoix (which is often) I love coming here. The service and food is consistently 10/10… and the wine is an experience. ❤️💙🤍

28/12/2025: My wife and are in the area for our honeymoon and decided to come to Mirepoix for a day between Toulouse and Carcassonne (which was a side trip of itself from our planned time in northern Spain) We did not stay at L'Autre Jardin but we did have dinner here on a whim as it is fairly sleepy here in the winter and the choices for food were rather slim. This was the only restaurant that didn't seem like it was either too casual or too touristy. Can I say, this was one of the best dining experiences I've had in my life. The staff did not speak much English, and I not much French (not even enough to be dangerous, unfortunately) but we managed well enough and were treated kindly and warmly through out our time visiting. The food was SUPERB, some of the best french cooking I've had. Well balanced flavors, fresh, and a perfect portion for each course. the pintade chaponée was mouth wateringly good with balanced butternut and potato pavé(?) to cut the salt and richness of the guinea fowl. The potato pavé was the best I've had in quite some time. My wife was very pleased with her grilled octopus. I cannot recommend eating here enough. Merci infiniment pour votre hospitalité.
