Three of us and in the middle of a road trip, we stopped here a bit by chance, the rain always being a good excuse for a coffee. Express formulas, 5.50 and, I tell you, what a nice surprise: fresh pressed juice, traditional hot chocolate with real chocolate, pure butter croissant. A sign announced carrot cake slices for €2 each, let's go, verdict: excellent too (approved by the trio's pastry chef). The atmosphere is warm, subdued, almost hushed and you find yourself lowering your voice, without paying attention, so as not to disturb the air around the tables. The waiter was just what was needed, friendly, attentive, smiling but not salesy, aware of our need to escape the rain, to hear it too. The one we imagine to be the boss, who we learned was the author of the carrot cakes, was humble, bordering on embarrassment at our thanks. It was alive without being too much. For me, it remains the Best café-restaurant in downtown Grenoble, because it is very well located. Where the welcome and the service are most pleasant... In addition, we are served by very friendly staff, who always have a smile...that means a lot! The atmosphere is really warm! What, enjoyed my favorite drink: The famous cappuccino, it was hmmm...delicious! Prepared properly, the way I like it...I enjoyed it...It was great!...I had a relaxing, peaceful time... On ! That I will go back there, with my eyes closed...Just...for! Spend a good time with friends and loved ones... It will be just fun!...

Top place, great boss, super friendly waiters, top quality, unbeatable price in Grenoble and the aperitif at Au Coq is the best, I highly recommend it

Delicious food! Nice staff and a good choice from the menu. The only pity was that the tables were a bit too small and the chairs outside were a bit too low.

Un brasserie plutôt tradi, ou tout est rodé. Le serveur accueillant et dynamique, qui connaît bien la carte. Les viandes c'est la bonne surprise, tant la pièce de bœuf en plat du jour que le steak haché à la carte, très bon. Les desserts sont maison. L'addition très correcte : 3 aperos/1 plat du jour et 2 à la carte/2 desserts et 1 café, 68€. Ça change de place Grenette ! A refaire sans hésiter pour manger un midi en ville
