31/03/2024: The establishment changed owners in January 2022 so customer reviews prior to this date do not concern Aurélie, Brieg, and Maxime, the current team of three associate-cooks who took over the stoves.
This Auberge de la Vieille Église is a wonderful discovery in the charming old town of Trégastel. Light, careful and creative cuisine, gentle cooking which allows flavors and textures to be retained in products supplied by local producers.
The welcome is smiling and friendly, the contemporary decor is tasteful, the service is attentive, efficient and without expectations. Curious, I asked the waitress several times about the details of my dishes, she did not hesitate to go to the kitchen and come back to give me precise information.
Menus with, among others, the “Traouiero” a formula with a choice of 2, 3 or 4 dishes from starters to desserts, to be composed according to your appetite and desires.

ENTRANCE
Scallops, quenelle cauliflower sorbet, browned butter.
FLAT
Catch of the day, seared pollack, carrot, tansy shoots, buttermilk.
DESSERT
Blancmange with fondant caramel heart, sorrel sorbet, rosemary powder

I booked for a Wednesday lunchtime with Zenchef, the online service offered by the establishment and received a confirmation by email.
This restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
This lunch delighted me from start to finish, a real feast for the eyes as well as for the taste buds, at a reasonable price considering the quality, it's been a long time since I had so much pleasure having lunch in a restaurant.
Passing through the region in March 2024, it is certain that I will return there before my departure.
30/03/2024: An exceptional meal. Fine, excellent and sought-after cuisine. The welcome and impeccable service: deserves 1 star (Michelin). Knows how to adapt and prepare vegetarian dishes (on request in advance) of excellent quality. Bravo and thank you for this good time. We will be back soon.
