31/03/2024: The establishment changed owners in January 2022 so customer reviews prior to this date do not concern Aurélie, Brieg, and Maxime, the current team of three associate-cooks who took over the stoves. This Auberge de la Vieille Église is a wonderful discovery in the charming old town of Trégastel. Light, careful and creative cuisine, gentle cooking which allows flavors and textures to be retained in products supplied by local producers. The welcome is smiling and friendly, the contemporary decor is tasteful, the service is attentive, efficient and without expectations. Curious, I asked the waitress several times about the details of my dishes, she did not hesitate to go to the kitchen and come back to give me precise information. Menus with, among others, the “Traouiero” a formula with a choice of 2, 3 or 4 dishes from starters to desserts, to be composed according to your appetite and desires. I have chosen : ENTRANCE Scallops, quenelle cauliflower sorbet, browned butter. FLAT Catch of the day, seared pollack, carrot, tansy shoots, buttermilk. DESSERT Blancmange with fondant caramel heart, sorrel sorbet, rosemary powder The menus change every week and are visible on the home page of this establishment's website. I booked for a Wednesday lunchtime with Zenchef, the online service offered by the establishment and received a confirmation by email. This restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. This lunch delighted me from start to finish, a real feast for the eyes as well as for the taste buds, at a reasonable price considering the quality, it's been a long time since I had so much pleasure having lunch in a restaurant. Passing through the region in March 2024, it is certain that I will return there before my departure.

30/03/2024: An exceptional meal. Fine, excellent and sought-after cuisine. The welcome and impeccable service: deserves 1 star (Michelin). Knows how to adapt and prepare vegetarian dishes (on request in advance) of excellent quality. Bravo and thank you for this good time. We will be back soon.

23/01/2024: Empty restaurant... and yet we are refused... there are 6 of us and we don't want to bring two free tables together... Shouldn't need to work... I wasn't able to actually enjoy the cooking...

05/04/2024: Never disappointed, always satisfied. The hardest part is choosing. And it’s the same dilemma for dessert between pancakes and delicious ice creams (and their cuts, each crazier than the other). In short, I recommend with a special mention for the goat cheese and cherry jam pancake.

25/02/2024: Very good evening spent at the restaurant. The atmosphere was good and the pizzas too!

12/02/2024: Visit in 2018 or 2019: Very nice, and very familiar atmosphere. We already planned which days to go there for the rest of our vacation. Edit/Addition 2024: 5 years later we managed to visit again. Still an excellent tip for great pizza and excellent service. So happy the dreaded pandemic could not close this business! We will be back next weekend.

03/04/2024: Excellent cuisine. We went there 3 times in 2 days (!) so I was able to taste 2 dishes of the day out of 3 (St Pierre then sea bream from memory), excellent. The 3rd I only had oysters that were just as delicious, not milky. Happiness. Our friends had lamb (forgot the name of the dish) all very satisfied. My wine is quality for a normal price, count on 28 to 50 euros per bottle. One was a Chablis, very good. The service is efficient and relaxed but very professional and smiling. In short, an address to remember. Note: book well in advance to be seated in the veranda and take full advantage of the superb sea view. But if there are people it can be a little noisy. In summary: we recommend!

31/03/2024: Delicious food. Very pleasant staff. Small problem with the steak tartare that was too spicy and the problem was resolved immediately. Exceptional setting at reasonable prices. We will come back without hesitation.
