Beautiful location, pleasant terrace. Decent service. The breakfast package is very reasonably priced for Aix and generous.

Stopped for a quick drink or two. Service was fairly quick - had a lovely time sitting at the front.

Here's a legendary bar in Aix-en-Provence with a breathtaking view of the Rotonde fountain, as the locals call it. The place is very quiet and shaded. During periods of intense heat, and generally in summer, this is a major plus for this otherwise peaceful bar. The waiter took my order immediately and very kindly. The service is quick. There are restrooms, but they're located on the second floor, which isn't very accessible for people with reduced mobility. The main thing I disliked was that it's not possible to pay by card for amounts less than ten euros. They systematically ask for cash. This requirement, which some establishments seem to have a knack for imposing, is beyond appalling. In Mexico, you can pay with your Visa card in any small grocery store deep in the jungle, but in a bar in the center of Aix-en-Provence, it's not possible. It's absurd! Of course, I had to comply; I had no choice, I had to pay in cash. Besides, the restrooms were clean and the coffee was excellent. One wouldn't expect anything less from such a centrally located establishment.
