I expected it to be better. The meat was tough and the shallots had a slightly burnt taste. The service was adequate, but nothing special. I wouldn't go back, especially since the bill was quite high.

An unforgettable meat experience: both the hanger steak and the aged rump steak were perfect.
The main course menu is limited, but the food is delicious. The wine list is the opposite: you're sure to find something you love (Bas-Armagnac from every vintage is available).
The desserts are equally excellent.
The service is top-notch.
You can go there without hesitation (vegans beware 😜).
I returned 48 hours later with different dishes. The results were just as delightful.

Despite a delay on our part due to transportation issues, the service was very understanding and pleasant! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was friendly. In short, a wonderful experience that we'd love to repeat!

It was great, delicious, and plentiful.
It's the kind of meal you don't have every day. But for the price, you leave feeling truly satisfied, from the aperitif to the dessert, and the wines perfectly complement the dishes.
The atmosphere inside was quite noisy.

One of the best restaurants in Strasbourg, if not the best, and a classic when it comes to meat.
The starters and desserts are also very good, and the Armagnac is always a welcome addition to finish the meal.
The warm and friendly atmosphere is also very much appreciated every time. It's truly a must-try.

Another excellent evening at Le Fossile.
The welcome, the service, the friendliness of the staff, the food… everything was perfect from start to finish. The warm atmosphere and quality that make Le Fossile a true institution are always present.
This was obviously not our first visit, and we already know why we'll be back again. A real pleasure every time.
