June 18, 2026. We've known this restaurant for 45 years and were away for a good two years. The meat is still just as good, but the way the shallots are cooked and the fries are nothing like what we used to know. Plus, there were two of us, and we were given a small bowl of salad. So one person ate the salad, and the other dreamed about it.

We had a wonderful time at Le Fossile in Strasbourg. The meat is simply outstanding: tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The house specialty, the hanger steak, fully lives up to its reputation and will delight all lovers of good meat (and homemade fries). The welcome is warm, the service attentive, and the atmosphere convivial. A must-visit for those seeking generous and authentic French cuisine in the heart of Strasbourg. I highly recommend it!

Excellent! Probably the best flank steak I've ever had! The service was top-notch and very efficient. The sautéed mushrooms were also excellent. The two-course service was a real bonus that made the experience even more enjoyable. All this for a very reasonable price! A must-try!

The service was quick, the food was excellent, very generous, beautifully presented, and above all, the flavors were truly remarkable in each dish. A must for lovers of good, hearty meals, whether with family, friends, or even as a couple.
17/06/2026: A wonderful discovery. Excellent cuisine. A lovely shaded terrace. Impeccable service, and I will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

14/06/2026: We had a wonderful time today at this lovely restaurant. It was my goddaughter's christening. The food was excellent—very high-quality ingredients, and the veal with chanterelles was divine. The service on the beautiful shaded terrace was friendly and very professional. Don't hesitate to book a table; you won't regret it. Everything was perfect.
