We were disappointed by the food. The lobster lacked flavor; it tasted like it had been boiled rather than roasted. The desserts were good, and the service was friendly.

Excellent restaurant. Friendly and efficient staff. Wide selection. Fantastic desserts. Perfect for "Mediterranean" diners accustomed to late dinners. An exception in the Rennes scene, and in much of France.

I had a wonderful time at this restaurant. The food and wine were impeccable. I arrived late with my golden retriever, and the staff were incredibly attentive to both my dog ​​and me.

We ate at Le Galopin one evening; the food was very good, and the cuisine made us want to return. The owner seemed friendly, however, we encountered an obnoxious waiter who repeatedly made us uncomfortable by snickering at the few questions we asked him. I have never experienced such appalling service. This, combined with the restaurant's high prices, discourages us from returning, which is a shame because the food was good, the meat was high quality, and it was one of the best pavlolas we've had in Rennes.

Everything was perfect, the price was reasonable, and it's the best restaurant in Rennes. I would definitely like to visit again next time.

The service was excellent. You can also watch dishes like Crêpe Suzette being prepared, creating a lively atmosphere. All the dishes were delicious, and the lobster was exceptional. Each dish came with pommes paille (sweet potatoes). The value for money was also good. We were able to eat a satisfying meal for under €40.

24/08/2026: Wow!! The meal was absolutely delicious!! I was lucky enough to sample from my friends' plates, and everything was truly scrumptious!!! The service was impeccable and there was no wait. We weren't expecting such high quality given the storefront, but go for it!! Go for it! Unfortunately, I didn't think to take any pictures... But I promise next time, the photos will be added to the review.
10/08/2026: €5 for a bottle of cider is a bit much; I paid half that in a restaurant in Pont-l'Abbé... Besides, it wasn't any better. I won't be back.

21/08/2026: A very nice, typically French bistro with exceptionally delicious food. Very friendly service, quick service.
20/08/2026: Beautiful and delicious! We had a meat-based dinner, but I saw the next table enjoying the mussels as well. The interior is tastefully and pleasantly decorated. You can also dine outside.
