Le Garde Manger sur Saint-Cloud

Delicious meat. The fries and chocolate cake are worth the trip. Great restaurant.

I recently discovered Le Garde-Manger restaurant, and the experience was a very pleasant surprise. The setting is young and vibrant, with a friendly atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. You get the feeling it's a lively place, unpretentious, yet with a real identity. As for the food, the poached egg with morels is a true discovery: perfectly executed, flavorful, and delicate. A starter that's definitely worth the trip. The hanger steak, meanwhile, is a triumph. The cooking is impeccable, the meat tender, and the personalized sauce adds a real touch of originality. Special mention also goes to the knife, perfectly suited to the task, which demonstrates an attention to detail often overlooked elsewhere. The dessert confirms this excellent impression: the chocolate cake with its vanilla ice cream far surpasses anything you're used to finding. The homemade quality is immediately apparent, both in taste and texture. Finally, a detail that may seem insignificant but makes all the difference: the water is served chilled, in a glass bottle, with a quality close to that of spring water. A place worth discovering, combining simplicity, quality, and attention to detail.

This is a great restaurant where good bistro cuisine takes center stage, with generous, beautifully presented dishes cooked to perfection. Meat is a specialty, but not the only option. The welcome is warm and the service is quick. The staff, like the owner, are attentive and helpful. I highly recommend it.

Excellent bistro-style restaurant. Friendly welcome, quick and cheerful service. It's best to book for lunch or dinner as it gets very busy. Fresh and varied products. Highly recommended.

We regretted not being able to stay longer... because the welcome and service were truly top-notch 👌 We only stayed for drinks, but we still thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and had a great time. +1 for the pâté library!
