It was pretty good but I think I was expecting excellent. Worth a visit and they make an effort.

Passing through the city, we tried our luck despite a full restaurant. As we were visiting, we were asked to come back around 1 p.m.... and presto! a freed table. Very intelligent and varied menu. Well-cooked dishes (even if you still need to work on the risotto), with a variety of accompaniments and impeccable cooking. A gourmet dessert plate An efficient service tailored to everyone. In short, professionalism across the board in an original establishment also in its structure. I highly recommend... for gourmets and gourmands! And at well thought out prices!

A must-see in Saint Jean de Maurienne. Remember to book. A theatricality which is not unpleasant. We will come back.

I had the pleasure of dining at Le Gavroche, and I can confidently say it was an exceptional culinary experience. The owner was incredibly attentive and thoughtful, guiding us through the selection of the best wines and an excellent Armagnac to cap off the evening. This level of care and expertise truly enhanced our dining experience. Moreover, it was a real pleasure to meet the chef, who came to our table to passionately share stories about the dishes we enjoyed and some anecdotes from his career. This personal touch made the evening even more special and memorable. The location is extremely well-maintained and pleasantly off the beaten tourist path, offering an intimate and welcoming atmosphere that allows you to fully enjoy your meal in peace. In summary, with excellent food and wine, attentive service, and a lovely ambiance, Le Gavroche is a restaurant worth returning to. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a high-quality dining experience.

A great discovery during our vacation! We came by twice and were not disappointed. Market cuisine where everything is fresh: ultra fresh cod (let's not forget that we are in Maurienne) very well prepared, a good choice of desserts with delicious sorbets, for example peach 🍑 with cloves and verbena). Alert and attentive service despite the crowded tables. A big thank you to the whole team!!! And well done!

This is the best restaurant we have visited so far on our trip to France, it was so good we went twice! The menu of the day is €35 euro for a three course fine dining meal which includes some steaks, you can pay a few extra € for scollops and truffle. Have I had a better fine dining meal yes but never had one at this price, just go but have a Gin and Tonic they make their own Tonic and it’s fab

Nice quality food and well presented but didn't feel very welcome when we announced we were veggie. We were told to choose something on the menu with meat or fish before being given a table or go somewhere else. No alternative was suggested.
