I had the lunch menu. The only dessert I liked was panna cotta with passionfruit cream. For starters, I had falafel with asparagus and mayonnaise. It was beautifully presented on the plate, but the taste was very bland, like something frozen. For my main course, I had salmon with passionfruit mousse and chicory. The chicory was very bitter, and the bitterness seeped into the mousse and ruined the entire flavor of the dish. The wine was too simple for such a restaurant, as it's a basic wine in the region. It was poured in a small, oddly shaped glass and cost 14 euros. Any bar will serve better quality wines.

Excellent dishes prepared fresh. As always, some great wine discoveries 👍 A minor point about the portions; I would have preferred slightly larger servings.

A wonderful discovery in Strasbourg. We enjoyed the set Christmas menu and everything was delicious, from the amuse-bouche to the dessert, and the service was impeccable. I highly recommend this restaurant.

This is an intimate and excellent restaurant that seeks to be refined and innovative and largely hits the mark. There were six of us and we sampled the full range of the menu and had a very enjoyable evening with excellent wines.

Au Coq Blanc

18/03/2026: I rediscovered this restaurant during a dinner with friends on a Friday evening. We had reserved a table for 8:30 pm but arrived early, at 8:00 pm. This wasn't a problem at all, and a table was quickly set for us. The restaurant offers tarte flambée, a varied menu, and daily specials at very attractive prices, including a weekly set menu available for lunch and dinner from Wednesday to Friday. I opted for the set menu (main course + dessert) and thoroughly enjoyed it for a very reasonable price. The photo shows the dessert: a poached pear in white wine, Belle Hélène style—delicious! My friends also thoroughly enjoyed their meals. I highly recommend it.
