The eel and frogs are to die for.
But the rest of the cuisine is just as refined.
Special mention goes to the duck à l'orange, the profiteroles, and the little truffles at the end of the meal.
The setting is superb, in the middle of the canals in the Vendée marshes, with a tranquil and soothing atmosphere and very friendly service.
We highly recommend it.
Not bad at all!

A warm welcome from the owner and waitress, who were incredibly attentive.
Excellent dishes with wonderful discoveries of typical Vendée cuisine.

A wonderful experience at this restaurant nestled in the marshes. A warm welcome from the friendly chef and excellent service.
A delight for those who love eels and frog legs, and a great discovery of typical regional dishes.
And to top it all off, a table set in the shaded garden! We highly recommend it.

A €42 meal was far from worth the price; we expected better value for money.
The 350g ribeye steak at €30 was equally tasteless.
And when the owner asks if we were satisfied, and we point out a comment about a sauce, he replies that as long as the other 500 customers don't say anything... we understand his response. If he doesn't want feedback on his dishes, he shouldn't ask the customers; it would be quicker.

From the beetroot verrine to the pineapple and ginger, everything was delicious, not forgetting, of course, the trio of eels and frog legs, and the incredibly tasty sardine fritters.
Just a quick note for the owner: this review doesn't come from one of his large family members... In this establishment, everything is done to ensure you have a wonderful time, and even if the prices aren't exactly low, the originality of the flavors and the owner, a graduate of the Cours Florent drama school, are well worth the extra cost.
