A very good address. The dishes are copious and very well presented, the staff is very friendly, the room is very pretty, and the prices are reasonable. In summer, the terrace is really very pleasant. Go for it without hesitation!!

Overall nice restaurant, welcome, decoration, atmosphere. On the other hand, false notes on the service and catering. Knife that doesn't cut and I have to take my knife, brownie type dessert that's tough and stuffy and not ripe fruit. Otherwise presentation of the dishes good, correct quantity except remarks above, attentive service and for the price very correct i.e. around 45 euros for one person (aperitif, main course, dessert and coffee) plus the dish and very consistent so it is not No need to take an entry.

GREAT RESTAURANT!!!!!!! we went there this evening with our three daughters
great welcome, excellent hygiene, perfect service
no waiting, sympathy and a smile to boot, and the price is very reasonable!
We took a meat and a foie gras, both were delicious, the foie gras with the pan-fried fruits SUCCULENT, worthy of a great chef, the taste, the seasoning just PERFECT!!!! we were just passing through Chaumont, too bad otherwise we would have been regulars 😃
0 defects!!!!

Le Grain de Sel is one of the good addresses in Chaumont. The establishment offers traditional or revisited dishes that are quite copious without there being too much either.
It is advisable to call before coming to be sure of having a place in general or you can try your luck passing by if there are 2 of you for example. This restaurant is popular but that should not discourage you, on the contrary.

A very good table. Attracted by the people waiting at lunchtime, I sense that this is an interesting table, indeed very good sandwiches. A good crème brûlée for a very good lunch.
