If you enjoy a selection of shellfish and fish, you'll be surprised to find them right here in the Grand Est region, not to mention other culinary delights.
The welcome is warm, and the place is perfect for unwinding after a long morning drive. Don't hesitate to get off the highway to discover this restaurant with a name that doesn't suggest any mishaps, because this time, the "grain of salt" isn't a drawback, but rather a culinary experience that's anything but bland. 😜😜😜😜

The food is good, but a minor drawback is the size of the escalopes – they were too small, although very tasty.

Perhaps the meats were a little overcooked, especially a leg of lamb that must have been overcooked by at least a third…
The shellfish were a bit better.
Lots of variety in the Japanese dishes.

Special mention for the daily lunch specials: varied, generous portions, delicious, and very reasonably priced. We now go there regularly and are never disappointed. Highly recommended!

Ladies, you urgently need to consider changing careers or going back to school to study hospitality and receive rigorous and instructive training, because it seems you know nothing about the business.
Luckily, your regulars are there to keep the place afloat; in another city, you would have been closed down a long time ago! A word to the wise...

29/04/2026: I was very disappointed with my stay. The restaurant stops taking orders at 8:30 pm, which is incomprehensible for a hotel supposedly catering to travelers. There's no Wi-Fi in the rooms, which makes working or even simply accessing the internet extremely difficult. The rooms are really small, far below expectations.
Frankly, avoid this place.
25/04/2026: We booked a table at this restaurant and received a very warm welcome. The table was beautifully set, the atmosphere pleasant, and the staff particularly attentive and caring throughout the meal. The dishes were delicious, well-presented, and of high quality.
As a dietician, I would like to make one small observation: the lack of vegetables on some dishes surprised me.
There were no vegetables served with the steak tartare or the burger, and only a small portion with the duck à l'orange.
This is a shame, because even in high-quality establishments, a balanced meal is essential—vegetables should ideally play a more prominent role.
Despite this, we had a very enjoyable time, and the food was still excellent.

03/08/2026: As always, some items are missing from the order... and it's not even the right order... Just a matter of habit.
02/08/2026: During the heatwave, after placing my order, I asked for a simple glass of tap water at the counter because I was thirsty. The employee told me he had been instructed not to serve water. I found this response regrettable, especially given the extreme heat. I hope management will reconsider this practice.

09/11/2023: Following a car breakdown, my assistance put me up for one night in this hotel.
I was given the suite, very clean, at first glance nice but no heating (it showed 14°8), I had to ask for an auxiliary radiator. In the second bedroom for children no radiator is provided. The one in the master bedroom should not be covered but if you close the curtains it is behind it and therefore unusable.
There is a basket with extra pillows, a good idea in principle but how do you know how long they have been there and if they have not already been used
In the morning I had the displeasure of discovering that breakfast had been canceled by my assistance and the way the boss told me this by offering it to me did not make me want to accept, however. I would have greatly appreciated it after spending a good part of the evening...
The following night I refused to go back, the bedding was good but that's not everything
31/10/2023: I came to eat lunch with friends at the L'Étoile d'or restaurant, the setting is nice with a very beautiful fireplace at the back of the restaurant.
The staff is pleasant and the meal was very good and plentiful.
I recommend.

03/04/2026: I recently discovered Rom sauce and honestly, it's a real revelation! 🤩 The texture is perfect, neither too runny nor too thick, and the flavor is incredibly balanced. You can immediately taste the quality of the ingredients: it's flavorful, slightly spicy, and goes with absolutely everything.
Whether with fries, a burger, grilled meats, or even in a sandwich, Rom sauce always adds that little something extra that makes all the difference. Since I tried it, it's become a staple in my kitchen.
Special mention also goes to the consistency of the taste: every time, the same quality and the same enjoyment. Frankly, it's hard to go back to other sauces after this!
I 100% recommend it to all lovers of good sauces. 👌
