The price was 25% too high for my taste, and the welcome was rather aloof. The terrace could use some attention (like cleaning up fallen leaves and wiping down the tables even if they weren't set). The tomato and burrata salad had an unripe tomato and the burrata was just okay... considering the price, it deserved better. I wanted to try it: I saw what I thought, and I don't think I'll be back. It's a shame; sometimes it doesn't take much to improve things.

I was blown away by the warmth and hospitality of the staff; the atmosphere was truly cozy, and I had an unforgettable evening in a beautiful setting. The price is very reasonable for the quality of the services offered.

A real change of scenery in Bordeaux! The welcome is warm, the cleanliness is impeccable, and the setting is very pleasant. The price is quite reasonable for the quality of service.

Brasserie de l'Hotel de Ville

11/09/2026: I ordered a dish (I'd already had it at the same restaurant). This time, the food on my plate wasn't at all what was listed on the menu. The waiters explained that the menu had changed. Too bad, I couldn't even finish half my meal... At €24 a plate, it seems more than reasonable to inform the customer. Not even a small gesture, nothing. As long as you pay, they don't care if you actually ate well.
26/08/2026: Outstanding service and cuisine A huge thank you to Jean-Luc and Mathieu for their warm welcome and excellent service. Having stayed in grand hotels and fine restaurants, I found the same level of service here, but at a much more affordable price. The cuisine is worthy of a gourmet restaurant, with excellent value for money. Bravo to the entire team, and especially to the kitchen staff! I truly hope to see you again in the fall. Thank you again!
