This little gem on the Leucate cliffs is a truly wonderful discovery. The view is breathtaking, and the service is efficient and pleasant. I tried the surf and turf menu, which was absolutely delicious. The meat and fish dishes were cooked to perfection. The dessert was simply sumptuous. I'd heard about the smoked cigar, but it wasn't on the menu this time (a good reason to come back). I opted for the apple and dulcey dessert, and I was amazed by the combination of flavors. Bravo to the pastry chef, truly. Ending a meal with such a high-quality sweet treat is truly delightful!

A sumptuous and elegant setting with a breathtaking sea view. Everything is beautiful: the interior, the tableware, the presentation of the dishes. Our seafood menu was delicious, and we received excellent wine recommendations. The only point for improvement, and it's a significant one, is the service. We were seated at 8:00 PM and waited 20 minutes for our menus and to ask for water. Twenty minutes in a restaurant is an enormous amount of time, especially for a Michelin-starred establishment… there's a problem. At one point, feeling a bit thirsty and tired of waiting, I poured some water from a bottle placed between us and the next table, not knowing whose it was, to be honest. This earned me a cold remark from the waiter. I had to ask for bread after 35 minutes at the table because it hadn't arrived, and one could wonder if the pretty bottle of olive oil was there for decoration or to be enjoyed. The service was generally barely friendly, sometimes even a bit cold. No one explained that desserts are served in three courses, so once the tea/coffee offer was mentioned, we finished the second dessert and went to pay at reception. In short, the service is not up to the standard of the establishment.

A huge disappointment!! We had such fond memories of Le Grand Cap that it was one of our favorite Michelin-starred restaurants and we highly recommended it. At Christmas, we even gave four menus to our loved ones to share this former favorite with them. Unfortunately, their feedback was the same as ours today: disorganized service and an interminable wait. The dishes were good, but without any great discoveries or flavorful surprises like we had experienced before. The service, however, was very disappointing. Not a single smile and a palpable tension between the staff. Servers were running around in all directions, a constant flurry of activity, more than an hour between courses and then more than 45 minutes before dessert. We ended up spending nearly four hours at the table and seriously considered leaving before the end. This interminable wait mainly served to highlight all the problems: our bottle of wine and water were finished without any refills, and we had to ask for bread to accompany the cheese course… But the most disturbing aspect was the attitude of the pastry chef, who was also part of the service and the chef's wife, towards the issues we encountered. Throughout the meal, an outside light right next to our table flickered continuously. We pointed out the problem to her. Her response: “Oh, that!” before explaining that the electrician was on vacation and that we simply had to turn the table around. So we moved our table to avoid the glare, even if it meant turning our backs on the picture window that is supposed to be the restaurant's main attraction. And that wasn't the only comfort issue: a table behind us complained that it was very cold because of the air conditioning. Nothing was done about it. The customer ended up eating with her napkin draped over her shoulders to ward off the cold. These scenes are quite surreal in a Michelin-starred restaurant. Problems can happen, but it's how they're handled that makes all the difference. Here, we mostly felt that only the bottom line mattered and that the customer experience was secondary. We even mentioned the lighting one last time when it came time to pay. The pastry chef's response: "That'll be €275," as she handed us the card reader. No apology, no gesture of goodwill, not even the feeling that our comment had been heard. What a waste for a place that had left us with such wonderful memories and that we had enjoyed introducing to our friends and family. We won't be going back and hope that the Michelin Guide will judge the experience offered today, rather than the reputation built up in the past.

C'est pas fini! The evening at Grand Cap lasted over four hours, filled with flavor and passion. The dining experience is like theater—it feels as though you are eating art. We opted for the "Les Embruns" menu; it appears on the menu without a description, promising a series of surprises. We did know, however, that it consisted of five savory courses and two sweet ones. In the end, it turned out to be eleven courses in total. It began with two introductory courses served to all guests, I added a cheese course before the dessert, and finally, there was a concluding pastry course for everyone. C'est pas fini! The view is magnificent, and the dining room is well air-conditioned. The noise level—with just under 36 guests in the room—remained bearable. The service was seamless and efficient. Time flew by, and we were thoroughly pampered. C'est pas fini!

A very good restaurant; we thoroughly enjoyed our meal, although the desserts were a bit disappointing. However, the service was nowhere near the standard one would expect from a Michelin-starred establishment, which detracted from the overall experience one would expect in a restaurant of this caliber.

A wonderful experience: exquisite cuisine and an extraordinary culinary interlude for our taste buds! This exceptional moment would be even more so if it were accompanied by a bit more warmth rather than a clinical description of the various dishes served.
