A truly wonderful restaurant. High-quality ingredients, cooked with refinement but without any fuss. Thank you to the team.

We had a wonderful time, the meal was delicious. The traditional steak tartare was succulent. The gravlax was excellent, and the seaweed ice cream was a superb discovery! It's a great idea. The service was really good; thank you to the young woman, who was kind and welcoming.

A wonderful discovery. The dishes are delicious and the meats are cooked over a wood fire (foie gras, pork pluma, duck breast, crème brûlée, pavlova). The service is quick and the staff very welcoming. I can't wait to go back when it's not a heatwave 😉.

Excellent service, the meats were cooked perfectly, with a slight aftertaste of smoky wood, the sauces are homemade and the side dishes are well chosen.

What a brilliant find. Excellent restaurant, ended up going back again 2 days in a row it was so good. The staff were very attentive and spoke English really well. The food was outstanding and they provided me with Thé Gourmand for dessert, (I don’t drink coffee), tea made the English way - best tea I’ve had in France. Thank you. If we are in Angers again we will have no hesitation to return.

Superb steaks served with sweet potato/potato mash (delicious) following an outstanding local apéritif (with very tasty amuse-bouches.) My wife's French is not extensive and the head waiter (?) explained everything in excellent English. Excellent experience and food. Thank you! Everything a restaurant should be!

Beneath its simple model—a wood-fired grill restaurant—the establishment delivers a perfect experience: excellent, attentive, and friendly service with just the right amount of distance to ensure privacy, delicious food, and a fantastic atmosphere! The pea gazpacho is exquisite and delightful, accompanied by toasted pine nuts. The meat is cooked to perfection, from the bone marrow to the pork pluma and the butcher's cut. We haven't had such tender, melt-in-your-mouth meat in a long time! Expect a hearty meal, but we highly recommend Le Grandgousier for a truly high-quality dining experience. Another excellent point is the service, which is very welcoming and friendly. Even though we live far away, we hope to return. Thank you for this memorable dinner!

While passing through Angers, we stopped at this restaurant which caught our eye with its simplicity, warm welcome and good food. I recommend it.
