Contrary to popular belief, this seaside town has very few proper restaurants. Finding real cuisine amidst the sea of ​​street food and crêperies isn't so easy. The Hôtel Restaurant Le Grand Large is an exception. I recommend the €28.90 set menu, which seems to offer the best balance between the choice of dishes and the price. The food is what you might call home-style cooking. Simple recipes, quality ingredients, all well-prepared and served in generous portions. Like the mussels in cream and Pineau sauce as a starter. Or the cod loin with beurre blanc sauce for the main course. If you're passing through and looking for real, homemade food, this is the place.
