Excellent experience! The decor is lovely. The welcome and service were professional and friendly. The menu offered a variety of choices to suit all tastes (special mention to the rib-eye steak carved tableside – it always makes an impression). For 6 people: cocktail + glass of wine + 3 starters + 6 main courses: €40 per person

A delicious meal and exceptional service. We came for a friend's birthday, and the waiter came over to sing with us and really got the party going. We left with smiles on our faces. We'll be back!

We came to eat as a family. A wonderful experience, we'll definitely be back. The profiteroles are incredible. And a special mention for the country bread with its caramelized shallot, which accompanies the bone marrow. A third slice of shallot would be welcome next time I return 😊

I came to visit Rennes today and for a starter I had a Camembert tartine with pieces of grilled fruit with caramel, cherry tomatoes, and salad. Then I had a piece of pork in brioche with mayonnaise and homemade fries, and for dessert, a brioche with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream, accompanied by a cappuccino. It was very good, with friendly, smiling staff. I recommend it for the whole family to treat themselves from time to time. Sincerely

Traditional cuisine, nothing special. Poor value for money. €28 for a Breton "entrecôte" (more like a flank steak) is expensive per kilo! The sauces are made fresh in the morning, and it shows in the evening. Excellent mashed potatoes and very pleasant and competent service. We won't be going back. Overall, it was okay, but really expensive for what you get. Next!

Excellent restaurant. My wife and I arrived in Rennes temporarily on June 20th, and with a big appetite that evening, we discovered this restaurant with its lovely setting and great atmosphere 😺. The restaurant is divided into two sections: - one section for groups and a bit of a lively atmosphere - a more intimate section View of the kitchen and the chefs. The food: We ordered the two "Rennais" burgers and the duck burger, plus the profiteroles (which are definitely worth the trip) and a gourmet tea. Verdict --> everything was delicious and very flavorful. The burgers, wow (Burger King, you can't compete). Honestly, kudos to the chefs. The servers are friendly. We'll definitely be back if we're ever in Rennes again. Okay 🐺👍

04/08/2026: From a culinary standpoint, it's one of the best restaurants in Rennes, no doubt about it. I come here from time to time and I'll continue to do so, as the food is truly remarkable. However, the owner's behavior leaves me with a very negative impression. I've never seen him greet customers with a smile. The last time I was there, I overheard him talking about his new waitress at a neighboring table, saying, "She doesn't stay," the kind of remark that makes you feel quite uncomfortable. I also witnessed someone parking in a disabled parking space right next to the restaurant with a nonchalance that's hard to understand. Even my friends, on another occasion, asked me if he was just naturally unpleasant or if this was his normal behavior. It's difficult to separate the quality of the food from the attitude of the person who runs the establishment. It's a shame.

23/09/2026: The Saint-Charles has just had a makeover! It's bright and welcoming. A bar-restaurant with trendy bistronomic cuisine. Everything is homemade, and what's really great is that the flavors are spot on, although some might find it a bit too spicy. Personally, I love it! Efficient and very pleasant service!
