Le Gruber sur Strasbourg

We tried the set menu for two. Starter: Soup (one out of two servings was cold). Main course: Greasy spaetzle and venison stew...pieces of venison were cold in the middle of the dish. Dessert: Average French toast. Service: Our waiter was very professional. 👍

We tried Gruber as part of the restaurant's special event and we really enjoyed it. The menu was excellent. The service was quite slow between the amuse-bouche and the starter, but there were several different types of tourists at the same time, so it's understandable. The waiter apologized several times and offered us a second drink for the wait. We'll definitely be back.

The table was somewhat tucked away in a corner, and there wasn't enough room for two people. The food was crammed in by the window, with glasses held overhead – it wasn't very comfortable. The table next to us was also much too close, so we didn't have enough privacy or comfort. The ambiance itself is nice and has a slightly old-fashioned feel, but it seemed a bit dirty. Overall, the service was good, but we had to wait a very long time before anyone even came to the door to seat us. It also took a long time before anyone asked us what we wanted to drink and eat. About 20 minutes in total – I wasn't happy about that. We had a reservation. The food – well, it could have been better. The beef steak, served with fries, seemed rather plain and unimaginative. The other dish, according to the menu, was veal, pork, and lamb from the oven. In reality, however, it was more like a kind of goulash with lots of potatoes. It didn't taste bad, but I had expected something different based on the menu description. This one was great! The beer recommended by the waiter was really great!

The food is delicious, but firstly, it is impossible to take food with you. Secondly, the portions are not large. You still have to wait for the waiters to notice you. As for tasting, it is normal - but the pictured dish of 3 fish and potatoes - is brought without potatoes. The girls' restroom is very small - it is better to go to the men's on the left)

Excellent sauerkraut with three types of fish, generously portioned. Friendly service, though a little slow. Reasonable price. Very regional setting. I highly recommend it.

A real treat. A cozy, bistro-style atmosphere, and very tasty dishes (baeckeoffe, sauerkraut and spätzle).

A lovely restaurant with traditional decor, exactly what we were looking for. The menu was extensive, and the dishes were quite tasty, though not exceptional. The major drawback was the quality of service, ranging from bad temper to extreme slowness. We gave up on dessert after waiting 45 minutes for the waiter to return to take our order.

Nice restaurant, cozy atmosphere. The food is good but the portions are small. Unfortunately, there's a very long wait for the food to be ready…
