Le Jardin des Plumes sur Giverny

Our stay at Le Jardin des Plumes was the perfect ending to our trip to France. The hotel and its grounds were idyllic. Our room was very spacious, comfortable and clean. The entire staff at the front desk and restaurant were friendly, professional and helpful. We dined at the restaurant for dinner and selected the five course tasting menu. The food was phenomenal and the service was impeccable.. It was our best meal in France.

Four years ago I , went to your restaurant and had an amazing meal. Everything was great: thé food, the atmosphere, the service. I couldn’t wait to go back. This time, it was a big disappointment. We drove ann hour from Paris just to come here. The atmosphere is still nice. The wait staff is attentive. But the food - and the staff response to our observations - were not what we expected from a Michelin restaurant. The amuse bouche was fine - not outstanding. The Trout entree (appetizer ) on the other hand was not acceptable. It was “Fishy”. Not fresh. That should not happen. When we noted this bad taste to the waiter - he first checked with the chef (or at least that’s what he said) and then he offered to change it to another entree- - for a €20 up charge. That’s not what we expect to hear at a restaurant of this supposed quality. We declined. The monkfish main course was tasty. The lamb was not. It was pretty. Properly “Rose” in color - but it was both tough and bland at the same time. Overall it was disappointing experience. We won’t be back.

Just had a fabulous meal in the restaurant. The service was excellent, really friendly and welcoming, especially Quentin. Lovely experience would definitely return. Room is nice, comfortable bed, would be better if it had air conditioning & a full length mirror. Also really loved the black teas.

Perfect, exceptional dinner, top-notch welcome and service

We didn’t stay there, but we had a wonderful dinner. The bespectacled waiter kept us thoroughly entertained as he explained each dish with great enthusiasm. We’re glad we chose the 5-course menu instead of the 7-course one, as we were already completely full by the end of the meal. The dining experience introduced our palates to many new and delightful flavours, making it a memorable evening.

A sumptuous five-course lunch in an intimate setting. An extraordinary combination of flavors and freshness in every dish. The ingredients are showcased to their full potential. Bravo to the chef and the entire team at Le Jardin des Plumes.

A very beautiful spot in this magnificent village

First experience at a Michelin-starred restaurant. The service was top-notch, with true professionals who provided detailed explanations of the dishes and wines, but above all, they were incredibly kind. The setting is magnificent, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, from the amuse-bouches to dessert—an explosion of flavors. The wines were perfectly paired. And to finish, we enjoyed coffee in the beautiful garden, where they also offered a thoughtful touch with petits fours, taking into account any allergies. A huge congratulations! We will definitely be back and highly recommend it!

We had a magnificent dinner at the restaurant, a succession of dishes as beautiful as they were delicious, served at a perfectly controlled pace in a relaxed yet professional atmosphere. Special mention goes to the very kind service, the warm welcome, and the thoughtful touches throughout our stay. The place is very peaceful, particularly the superb garden. However, the experience was slightly marred by the night spent in a room that, while comfortable and spacious, lacked the charm and bucolic atmosphere of the rest of the property. Not all the windows had proper shutters or curtains, and we were unfortunately woken at 6:00 a.m. by the sun shining directly in our faces. Furthermore, the balcony and the entrance to the room, completely exposed and overlooking the parking lot/back kitchen/garbage area, lacked a certain elegance.
