We had a wonderful time at L'effet mer in Houlgate! The setting is charming, both welcoming and elegant. We had the fish and chips, which was generous and perfectly crispy, and my daughter chose the salmon tagliatelle, which was tender and delicious. Fresh ingredients, pleasant and attentive service. A real gem, we highly recommend it and will gladly return.

We visited for a late lunch here as a family of 4, what can we say, everyone cleared their plates the food was great, 2 burgers, salmon tagliatelle and the little one had a child’s meal of ham and fries and finished off with a Nutella crepe which both the kids cleared up!
Waiter did a brilliant job under pressure as the place was rammed and he was serving tables on his own most of the time we were in the restaurant.
Highly recommend to all visitors for decent food.
