While passing through during our vacation, we arrived unexpectedly, as we had already made a reservation at another restaurant that was selling items not listed on its menu.
We were immediately given a very warm welcome and excellent service. We had a fantastic meal. The menu is varied, with something for everyone.
And the value for money is excellent!
Above all, our waiter was incredibly attentive and made sure we had everything we needed.
There was a great atmosphere in the dining room, with music playing softly in the background.
We highly recommend this place! 😋

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Tender meat, generously filled burgers, and a delicious galette. The desserts were also very good. The prices are very reasonable!

Very friendly staff.
We came as a group of six and had a great meal. The bill was reasonable. It's true the sodas are a bit pricey, but hey, we drank water and we didn't die ☺️
The Normandy burger was excellent; the steak, the bun, and the whole burger were top quality.

We had a wonderful time; the waiter was fantastic—smiling, polite, and calm! It was very pleasant! The atmosphere was calm and relaxing! We were able to talk without shouting at the other end of the table! The galettes and crêpes were original and delicious!

Courteous and very fast service. The crepes are very good. The only slight drawback is that the drinks are a bit expensive compared to the prices at other restaurants we've been to. Otherwise, I highly recommend it.

A very warm welcome and a really nice lunch menu. Special mention to the young waiter, who was smiling, helpful, and very energetic, constantly on the go while remaining attentive.
Everything was perfect until dessert: unfortunately, the crêpe was served barely lukewarm, almost at room temperature. A shame, as it left a slight disappointment at the end, even though the rest of the meal was very enjoyable.

We had a wonderful time at L'effet mer in Houlgate! The setting is charming, both welcoming and elegant. We had the fish and chips, which was generous and perfectly crispy, and my daughter chose the salmon tagliatelle, which was tender and delicious. Fresh ingredients, pleasant and attentive service. A real gem, we highly recommend it and will gladly return.
