I came to discover the local cuisine of Saint-Malo and... what a revelation! When seafood is fresh and cooked in a way that brings out all its flavors, you get the dishes at Kidygwen. The value for money is more than reasonable, and you can go there without hesitation. You'll be welcomed warmly and have a wonderful dining experience.

I'm giving it a harsh rating because it reflects my deep disappointment with the food. Given the very high ratings, I expected much better. Perhaps the menu was too varied: our group ordered fish and meat. Not bad, but nothing special! We probably missed out on the restaurant's true specialties.

We just dined there two nights in a row to sample different dishes from the menu and left delighted. The chef's dishes are delicious and the welcome from his wife in the dining room is very warm. A must-try in Saint-Malo.

06/09/2026: Mussels... like I've never eaten before! Absolutely excellent! This little restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside, but don't let that put you off; it's part of its charm. I highly recommend it!

27/08/2026: Despite a tedious booking process (confirmation and re-confirmation) and a barely polite welcome from the woman we believe to be the owner, who didn't exactly make us feel welcome, we had a very enjoyable meal. The sweetbreads and the grilled turbot were excellent, as were the scallop ravioli, which deserved a few more bites to fully appreciate their flavor.
26/08/2026: The staff and the place are very charming; the terrace is worth a visit when the weather permits. I'll definitely be back!
