Lunchtime menu formule (3 course) was really excellent value at €22, friendly service very efficient and enough English spoken to help out when needed. Wine by glass or carafe also good value. Free refills of bread and tap water brought without asking. Only slight downside was a bit of traffic on the main road, but it was our choice to sit outside. Highly recommended

A traditional brasserie worth checking out if you're passing through Mâcon.

Passing through Mâcon. Excellent value for money. Everything was delicious from the starter to the dessert. Set menu at 27 euros. I'm struggling to understand the overall rating on Google.

The waitress was friendly, the food was good, there was a bit of a wait but when you're on vacation you're not in a hurry, the only downside is the proximity to the road

Restaurant not far from the Saône and its large pedestrian zone. A charming, old-world restaurant with impeccable service. Friendly owner and waiters. Worth discovering.

Brasserie de L'academie

08/09/2026: Two choices of starters, two choices of main courses, and a multitude of dessert options for €20!!! Unbeatable!!! An excellent glass of white Macon-Loché wine perfectly complemented this very tasty and generous meal! I highly recommend this establishment before the prices catch up with the competition 😉
11/08/2026: The food is simple but good, with generous portions. The waitress is very pleasant.

les Tuileries

27/09/2026: A girls' night in, we ordered three different dishes and we were delighted! The food was high quality, with perfectly cooked dishes. The meat was so tender it fell apart with a fork and melted in your mouth. A real treat! The setting is also magnificent, with truly elegant and original decor. The only slight drawback was the service, which we found a little slow and sometimes a bit disorganized. All the best!
20/09/2026: Sincere thanks to the staff for this lovely moment celebrating our father and son birthdays with our whole family. We were so pleasantly served! The food was excellent, and the waitstaff were incredibly kind and attentive! The prices were truly reasonable, reflecting the quality of the service. We will definitely be back! A huge thank you to everyone!
