For the past few years, we've dined at Magellan at least twice during our stays in Cape Town. We always order à la carte. The menu is varied and very interesting. You'll always be served an amuse-bouche that will whet your appetite. The chef uses ingredients (herbs and other spices) whose flavors are a revelation. The cuisine is flavorful and unexpected in the best possible way. The dishes are generous, and the presentation is meticulous. A true feast for the taste buds! The setting overlooking the harbor offers magnificent sunsets. The welcome is warm, and the service is professional and friendly. We have never been disappointed. Admittedly, the price might deter some, but set menus are available, and the lunch menu is very affordable. The owners share their love of cooking and culinary expertise. I highly recommend it, especially for those who love fish. A real treat!
