A very comprehensive selection of magazines and newspapers, undoubtedly the most comprehensive in La Rochelle. The staff are lovely.

A very good tobacconist with a wide selection, the staff are friendly and helpful, as is the manager. From time to time, when I'm passing by for a walk or to pick up a parcel, I buy my tobacco and have a coffee. They also have well-presented newspapers and lovely maps of our town.

La Cocotte De Laleu

08/09/2026: Great place to grab a drink in a great atmosphere! And on Sundays, they sing.
08/07/2026: Since we missed the show due to a discounted ticket, we stayed and had a wonderful evening. The beers were great. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. We were able to enjoy the delicious food from the Lebanese restaurant next door while sitting on the terrace. We had some very interesting conversations. A truly great time! A highly recommended spot away from the noise and bustle of the street.
