Excellent restaurant with African flavors. I tried the veal maffé, which I highly recommend. The type of rice was perfectly chosen to complement the sauce, which was expertly prepared with chili pepper. Everything was perfect. I highly recommend it.

Delicious! I go there for the way they braise the chicken, and the green sauce is yummy. I've been going for years and I never get tired of it.

The food was delicious—absolutely to my taste—and reasonably priced. However, the service was terrible. While the basics were covered, everything felt rushed. The waiter was inattentive and hurried to take our order, even though the restaurant wasn't busy and there weren't many customers. Their tone was rushed, making me feel pressured while ordering. The same went for the payment process; it was difficult to get the bill, and they didn't clear the table (though I can understand a delay if a large group had just arrived). They were slow to bring the bill—almost as if they’d forgotten—and even forgot to bring the card machine until I caught their eye several times. When they finally brought the machine, they were polite at first, explaining that the service charge wasn't included and I could add it myself. But once they realized I wasn't adding a tip, their tone reverted to being rushed and pushy. There wasn't enough explanation regarding why I was being charged extra for using my card (I assume it was because the card wasn't issued in the EU, but there was no explanation beforehand—perhaps there was a notice I missed, but I didn't see one). It would have been much better if this had been explained upfront.

I no longer really understand the hype surrounding this restaurant. While the chicken was indeed well-cooked and had the typical braised chicken flavor, I didn't find anything particularly exceptional about it. The green sauce lacked flavor. The half-chicken dish with rice and four bananas cost €21, and we were also charged for an extra sauce even though the menu specified "with its sauces" (and only one was on our plate). Finally, we had to ask the waiter several times before we could place our order, and it didn't arrive until 40 minutes later. The waiter wasn't particularly professional or friendly either, especially when we simply asked for a carafe of water. We were quite fond of this establishment, but after this experience, we unfortunately won't be returning. In my opinion, it no longer deserves the title of "best braised chicken in Paris" that some people attribute to it.

Back after 8 years, same crowded place, same wait staff👴🏿, same great grilled chicken🍗, tender and tasty... serving the same 'ol indo customers ...better eaten with hands 'cos its finger lickin' good...chili paste (sambal)🌶🌶🌶 is still the best this side of the Champs-Élysées...a must visit if you're tired of duck confit🦆

An incredible culinary experience. It’s no surprise this place is a favorite spot for Indonesian tourists in Paris. Between the generous portions of rice and the intense, vibrant spice profiles, the culinary taste aligns so perfectly with Indonesian preferences. The chicken is really good, beautifully grilled, tender, and pairs amazingly well with their flavorful sauces. It's the ultimate comfort food when you're far from home. Five stars!
